Abstract:
A multi-directional wheeled transport vehicle for propelling components disposed thereon which has a structural base consisting of a chassis (20) and a top (22) with axles (44, 46 and 48) rotatably affixed to the chassis. A bi-directional wheel (52) is located on each axle with front and rear wheels positioned longitudinally and the intermediate wheel located in a lateral position between the front and rear wheel. Each wheel consists of at least one hub (54), spokes (58) a circumferencial ring (68) attached to the extending end of the spokes and a series of cylindrical rollers (70) and spacers (62) mounted onto the ring. The preferred embodiment consists of four identical hubs and rings etc. making up one complete wheel. A pair of opposed drive trains (74/74') simultaneously rotate each front and rear wheel and an intermediate drive train (98) rotates the lateral wheels permitting the vehicle to move forward and aft and also to one side or the other. The drive trains are preferably powered by electric motors (80/80' and 80") using batteries (104) and control means in the form of propulsion command and guidance controls (106).
Abstract:
Lifting and maneuvering device for producing lateral movement of a vehicle. Previous lifting and maneuvering devices have not found wide commercial use due to their complicated and expensive construction. A lifting and maneuvering device for motor vehicles including an auxiliary wheel assembly (4, 6) mounted adjacent to the front and/or the rear wheels (3) of the vehicle (2). Vertical drive means (14) raise and lower the auxiliary wheel assembly (18, 20) from retracted position to an operative extended position in which the front and/or rear wheels (3) are lifted off the vehicle supporting surface. The orientation of the auxiliary wheel assembly (18, 20) is adjustable to permit driving of the wheel assembly in a manner which will rotate the vehicle (2).
Abstract:

Abstract:
A trailer has a body, a primary wheel, and an adjustable leg for providing secondary support. The leg has a terminal end moveable between retracted and extended positions and a secondary wheel rotatably attached to the terminal end, such that the secondary wheel is off the ground when the terminal end is in the retracted position and is in contact with the ground when the terminal end is in the extended position. A pneumatic or hydraulic drive unit is mounted on the trailer body for adjusting the leg to move the terminal end between the extended and retracted positions. A drivetrain is mounted on the trailer body and operatively connected to the secondary wheel for driving the secondary wheel. A controller controls operation of the drive unit to automatically adjust the leg to maintain balance of the trailer, and controls operation of the drivetrain to drive the trailer.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a trailer for transporting containers, wherein the trailer is provided with at least one pair of wheels (1, 2); coupling means, mounted at the front, for overlaid coupling up to a tractor, which coupling means when coupled up allow rotation about an essentially vertical coupling axis of rotation; and hauling means suitable for enabling the container to be pulled onto the trailer in the longitudinal direction from the rear end of the trailer. The trailer further comprises transverse positioning means (10) suitable for causing the trailer (3), in the coupled-up state, to rotate about the coupling axis of rotation, such that the rear end of the trailer is moved in the horizontal transverse direction of the trailer. The transverse positioning means can comprise at least one transverse wheel (7) oriented in the transverse direction of the trailer (3); and lifting means (6) for lifting the at least one pair of wheels (1, 2) off the ground and bringing the at least one transverse wheel (7) into contact with the ground.
Abstract:
Parking a vehicle with the use of an additional traction system allowing to move the vehicle at a low speed without starting its combustion engine characterised in that the vehicle is equipped with an additional traction system having an autonomous drive system controlled electronically by means of an intelligent controller (10) that allows to park the vehicle sideways with the use of a system of extendable and retractable additional wheels (5) mounted under chassis (6) of the vehicle by moving the vehicle in direction perpendicular to its normal driving direction.

Abstract:
An auxilliary driving device, attached usually but not necessarily to the undersides of the vehicle suspension or body/chassis but independent of the main vehicle drives, to give a vehicle additional manoeuvrability and/or traction. The device enables precise low speed lateral/longitudinal vehicle movement, and axial vehicle rotation to facilitate parking, manoeuvring in confined spaces, traction assistance on slippery, uneven or fragmented surfaces, anti theft protection, vehicle jacking and wireless remote control for vehicle direction and speed.
Abstract:
The device for sideward moving of vehicles enables parking of the vehicle between two vehicles parked in a row, when the space between them is sufficient only for the length of the vehicle being parked, as well as moving of a trailer when, due to its length, it cannot be brought into the wanted position without additional manoeuvring. The device comprises driving assemblies with castors (A, B) fitted to the underside of the vehicle (6) or trailer carrying structure. The castors are lowered, lifted, turned and powered by hydraulic, pneumatic or electric motors located within each driving assembly. The driving-assembly motors are controlled, individually or jointly, from the control panel that is connected to the motors by suitable pipes or cables. Preparation of the vehicle or trailer for sideward parking or moving includes lowering of the castors until the vehicle main wheels (7) detach from the ground, turning of the castors into the direction of the place where the vehicle is to be parked or moved, and driving of the castors that move the vehicle.
Abstract:

The trailer comprises a raising and lowering device for raising and lowering the rear end of the trailer, and a transmission device for shifting the rear bogie of the trailer from the rear end of the trailer to the front end thereof and back. The apparatus comprises a gear wheel assembly (5) and a hauling device (6), which gear wheel assembly (5) is arranged transversally at the rear end of the trailer (2), and to the support of which gear wheel assembly (5) the rear end of the trailer can be brought by means of the hauling device (6) in order to perform the transversal shift. According to the invention, the gear wheel assembly (5) comprises two wheels (5a, 5b) located at a distance from each other, and in the immediate vicinity of the wheels (5a, 5b) of the gear wheel assembly there is provided a hydraulic motor (9; 9a, 9b) which serves as a power unit for carrying out the transversal shift.
