Abstract: A mobile cleaning system (10) that enables touch-free, daily cleaning and disinfecting to areas or locations within an establishment is provided. The system includes generally a push cart (12) having front (18) and rear (20) sections spaced between vertically upstanding side sections (22A-B). One or more sections of the cart (12) include a modulated space configurable with one or more cleaning and/or disinfecting modules for performing and supporting a cleaning and/or disinfecting operation. A tool drip tray (30) extends outward from at least one of the sections beneath a tool storage location (32A-B) for preventing liquid or debris from dropping onto a surface beneath the cart (12) while stationary or in transit.

Abstract: A dispenser adapted to be coupled to a fluid container. The dispenser comprises a dispensing head, an energy source, and a fluid pathway. The dispensing head includes a fluid pump, a motor adapted to power the pump, a trigger adapted to control the motor, and a nozzle orifice in fluid communication with a discharge end of the pump. The fluid pathway has one portion in fluid communication with an intake end of the pump and another portion inside the container. In one embodiment, the fluid pump is a peristaltic pump. The present invention may further include a valve having a membrane for controlling flow through the valve, the membrane having open and closed positions; and an element urges the membrane to the closed position, and a vacuum pressure at one end of the valve may overcome the urging of the element, thereby moving the membrane to the open position.

Abstract: A mop assembly including a mop head and handle, and a supply of liquid connected to a valve assembly on the handle adjacent the mop head. The valve assembly includes a length of resiliently flexible tubing that has a portion extending transversely through the handle and first and second members on opposite sides of the length of tubing that are relatively movable between a closed position at which the first and second members pinch together opposite sides of the length of tubing to stop the flow of liquid through it, and an open position at which the first and second members are spaced apart to afford flow of liquid through it. Should the tubing become plugged, it can easily be replaced by disconnecting one end from a liquid supply length of tubing, withdrawing the tubing from between the first and second members, and then installing a new length of tubing. The tray portion is mounted on a bottom end of the main portion for relative movement between a closed position at which the side surface covers an open side of the receptacle to thereby afford retention of the mop head in the receptacle; and an open position with the tray portion disposed at about a right angle with respect to the main portion so that the mop head can be inserted into or removed from the receptacle and so that the bottom wall can be supported along a horizontal surface such as a floor surface with side walls of the receptacle projecting upwardly.

Abstract: A mop using a sponge mop pad is effective for mopping in hospitals from the standpoint of prevention of in-hospital infection. In conventional sponge mops, however, subsequent to cleaning, the dirt and dust adhering to the sponge mop pad are washed with washing water and then the water contained in the sponge mop pad is wrung out, for which purpose a spring force is utilized to fold the sponge mop pad in two at the center so as to utilize the compressing force.
