Abstract:
Abstract:
A support element (e.g. a seat, a saddle or a handgrip) for the human body comprising a layer (3; 103; 203) made from soft and yieldable material and at least one surface insert (4; 104; 204) with different characteristics in terms of appearance and/or comfort, in which said surface insert comprises a visible surface (6; 106; 206) to be in contact with the user, wherein said visible surface has a smaller size than said layer and wherein said surface insert comprises at least one portion (5; 105; 205) embedded in said layer. A process for making the support element is also presented.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a glove which may be used in combination with the hand grip of a vehicle, to be gripped by the hand of a user. The glove includes a gripping surface for gripping the hand grip and a first gripping means located on at least part of the gripping surface, with the first gripping means including one part of a hook and loop fastener system. The hand grip includes a second gripping means located on at least part of the hand grip, the second gripping means including the other part of the hook and loop fastener system. The arrangement and construction is such the first and second gripping means combine to provide increased friction between the glove and the hand grip. The invention may be particularly suitable for preventing, or reducing the effect of, arm pump.
Abstract:
A handgrip (1) for handlebars of a bicycle or similar vehicles comprises a- tubular group (2, 3), which extends according to an axial direction (X) corresponding to the axis of the handlebars, the group (2, 3) being fitted onto an end of handlebars, the handgrip comprising padding means (12, 21) associated with the tubular group (2, 3), means (15, 23) for attaching the handgrip (1) to the handlebars, the tubular group comprising an inner body (2) suitable for being fitted onto an end of the handlebars and a second outer body (3) slidably fitted according to the direction (X) onto the inner body (2) so as to adjust the axial length of the handgrip (1).
Abstract:
A handlebar (1) for vehicles, in particular bicycles, both for road cycling and with mountain bikes, which comprises recesses filled with soft form memory material (4,5,6) able to dampen impacts to the cyclist's wrist, hand and fingers, while at the same time attenuating manual forces during use.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A stem web is disclosed that comprises a backing layer having a first surface 5 and a second surface, and an array of 600 to 20000 upstanding stems projecting from the first surface of the backing. The stems comprise a height from 0.3 and 2.0 millimeters and a shore hardness less than 90A. In one embodiment, the stem web further comprises a reinforcing layer secured to the second surface. In one embodiment, the stem web is secured to a tool to be passed across a surface to be cleaned to capture lint and hair.
Abstract:
The present invention finds application in the art of sport and leisure accessories, and relates to a ventilated bicycle handlebar which comprises a tubular body (2) having an axial inner cavity (3), a center portion (4) for connection to a bicycle frame (T) and end portions (5, 5'), designed to be grasped by the hands of a user. The tubular body (2) has at least one air inlet (6) at the center portion (4) and at least one air outlet (7) in the remaining areas. The inlet (6) is at least partly oriented in the riding direction so that the incoming air can flow through the inner cavity (3) and come out of the outlet (7) to ventilate the hands of a user during riding.
