Abstract:
A personal mobility vehicle comprising a platform (10) on which a user of the vehicle can stand, ground-engaging wheels (14, 15, 16) on which the platform (10) is supported, motor drive means, motor control means (20), a column (11) extending upwards from the platform (10) and a leg or thigh support rest (18) mounted on the column.
Abstract:
A powered personal mobility vehicle for transporting an infirm occupant includes at least three wheels configured to contact the ground, at least one electric motor, a frame, a lower seat post coupled to the frame and extending upwardly from the frame, a modular suspension unit supported by the lower seat post, and a seat assembly supported only by the modular suspension unit. The modular suspension unit includes a post assembly that includes an outer post slidably coupled to an inner post, and a dampener located completely within the post assembly. The modular suspension unit is removably coupled to the lower seat post and is configured to be removable from the lower seat post as a unitary assembly. The outer post, the inner post, and the dampener are configured to dampen vertical movement of the seat assembly relative to the frame in response to impact between the wheels and the ground.
Abstract:
Vehicle for person's (3) using a wheelchair, especially disabled persons, whic vehicle has a bodywork delimited at the bottom by a floor plate (4), having a top-hinged back door (12), enclosing a space suitable for accommodating a wheelchair (2); the vehicle (1) has an engine (25) favourably in driving connection with the rear wheels (23),- a steering mechanism; an access ramp (6 making it possible to roll the wheelchair (2) inside and out of the vehicle (1) attached to the rear part of the floor plate (4) in a lifting- lowering way practically with a hinge (7) or hinges and connected with a moving mechanism. The vehicle (1) has control and display units needed for operating the vehicle (1) outdoors. The access ramp (6) moving mechanism has a moving unit operated by the opening and closing of the door (12) of the vehicle (1), connected to the access ramp (6). The invention is based on that it has a docking unit (60) inside the vehicle (1) suitable for accommodating and catching the docking pin (74) belonging to the wheelchair (2), fixing by this the position of the wheelchair (2) inside the vehicle (1) and releasing the wheelchair (2) from this fixed position.
Abstract:
A small-sized vehicle having a vehicle body frame (1); a left and right pair of front wheels (2f, 2f) suspended at the front of the vehicle body frame such that they can turn; a handle column attached to the vehicle body frame (1), between the front wheels (2f, 2f); a steering handle (3) steerably supported by the handle column; a driver seat (6) supported behind the handle column (28) by the vehicle body frame (1); and a front cover (91) supported by the vehicle body frame (1), covering the front face of the handle column (28). A guard member (32) having a grip used to lift up the vehicle body is positioned between the front cover (91) and each front wheel (2f), where the grip is located above each front wheel (2f) and supported by the vehicle body frame (1). The construction reduces a load on a assisting person in lifting the front part of the vehicle body.
Abstract:
A mid drive scooter includes a frame that supports a seat for a rider of the scooter, a front wheel (48) connected with the frame (14), left and right drive wheels (50, 50a), and left and right rear wheels (52, 52a). A left suspension is interposed between the frame and the left wheels (50a, 52a), and a right suspension is interposed between the frame and the right wheels (50, 52). The suspensions support the frame (14) on the drive wheels (50, 50a) for movement of the frame (14) relative to the drive wheels (50, 50a) in first and second degrees of freedom.
Abstract:
A handlebar assembly (40) is mounted relative to the vehicle body so as to be capable of folding down from an in use, erect position to a stowed position within the base of a recess (24) in the body, which in use is for the feet of a user. A seat assembly (30) is also mounted upon the vehicle body so as to be capable of folding down from an in use, erect position to a stowed position within the recess (24), lying over and nesting with the folded down handlebar assembly (40). A back rest portion (33) of the seat assembly (30) provides a cover to the handlebar assembly and the seat assembly when they are folded down into their stowed positions. This provides a compact collapsed unit which is suitable for transporting in a car or on an aircraft.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A retractable mobility-scooter canopy system (12) comprising a plurality of support elements (38, 40), at least a majority of the support elements (40) being movable relative to each other, and a pliantly-flexible cover element (42) extending between each said movable support element (40). The or each cover element (42) is at least in part light transmissible. An in use lowermost support element (52a) having a contoured longitudinal extent defining a wind-occlusion portion (52b) which in use complementarily or substantially complementarily matches a step-through portion (20) of a chassis (14) of a mobility scooter (10) to which the canopy system is attached, thereby occluding wind ingress and preventing or limiting a lateral tipping hazard.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a motorised vehicle comprising a chassis (1c), which comprises at least three wheels (2, 3, 5, 6), a steering device (15), a drive device (12a) and a seat arrangement (13) adjustable into different positions. In accordance with the invention, the seat arrangement (13) can be set to a walking mode (A1) for use as a walker (1a), and to a driving mode (A2) for use as a driving vehicle, wherein the drive element (12) is activated in both the walking and the driving mode.
