Abstract:
A lever drive system for a scooter including a crank arm having a first distal end pivotally carried on a frame and operatively associated with a drive sprocket, wherein reciprocating movement of the crank arm causes rotation of the drive sprocket for moving a drive chain operatively associated with a wheel assembly. A footrest is disposed on the crank arm for operating the crank arm. A cam member is pivotally mounted to the frame generally adjacent the crank arm. A cam follower is carried by the crank arm engaging the cam member, wherein movement of the crank arm causes the cam follower to move along a contoured control surface of the cam member for controlling an up and down movement of the crank arm.
Abstract:
The invention is directed towards a scooter comprising a frame, front wheel carried by the frame, rear wheel carried by the frame, a pair of reciprocating pedals attached to the frame, a drive assembly for transferring force from the reciprocating pedals to the rear wheel comprising: a pedal cam having a plurality of openings can various distances from the rotational center of the drive cam; a drive pin extending from one of the reciprocating pedals and is received on one of the openings; and, a gear shifting cable attached to the drive pin causing the drive pin to engage with one of the opening so that the drive cam is rotated by the movement of the pedal so that based upon the opening engaged, the rotational power output that the drive cam ultimately exerts on the rear wheel is varied.

Abstract:
A pedal drive system for a bicycle includes a front spiral cone pulley and a rear pulley. The front spiral cone pulley is attached to a crank arm, and the rear pulley is attached to a rear wheel on a bicycle in some embodiments. A power cable, or tension linkage, extends between the front spiral cone pulley and the rear pulley. The front spiral cone pulley is angularly moveable relative to the first crank arm such that the radial position of the point of engagement between the power cable and the front spiral cone pulley may be selectively manipulated for controlling the gear ratio between the front spiral cone pulley and the rear pulley. In some embodiments, the rear pulley is also a spiral cone pulley.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a collapsible, portable human-powered electric vehicle for one person, which includes a frame made up of two sections (1 and 2) joined by two tubular shafts (3), the rear section (2) being provided with an electric motor (18), two wheels (7) with brakes (9), mudguards (10) and two scissor systems (33) which support a collapsible seat (54) with adjustable height and distance. A rechargeable battery (30) and a collapsible awning (55) are attached to said seat (54), which in turn is coupled to the frame when collapsed; the tubular shafts (3) also support a structure (20) having adjustable height and distance and that includes a pedal system (53) that transmits movement to the rear wheels (7) by means of gears, belts and a central shaft (56) which is located within the tubular shafts (3), said shaft being assisted by the electric motor (18) such as to generate movement in the rear wheels (7); the front section (1) has a flange (4) which provides a supporting point on the frame, said flange (4) also being suitable for towing the vehicle when it is collapsed; and the front section also includes the steering system (52), made up of a vertical shaft (12) which includes two wheels (13) with brakes (15) and mudguards (14), an adjustable bar (16) and a steering lever (17).
Abstract:
Abstract:
A board type bicycle includes a frame; a front wheel rotatably installed on a front portion of the frame to support the front portion of the frame on the ground, and capable of being steered by a steering shaft; a handle connected to the steering shaft to steer the front wheel; a rear wheel rotatably installed on a rear portion of the frame to support the rear portion of the frame on the ground; and a pedal device for driving the rear wheel using force inputted from both feet of a rider.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a bicycle driving apparatus for generating propulsive force via linear reciprocating movements of pedals (90, 90') while maximizing the propulsive force by sufficiently long- length levers (80, 80') even by low pedal pushing force and overcoming structural instability of the long levers (80, 80'). The driving apparatus includes driving wheels (30, 30') located at opposite sides of a free wheel (12) coupled to a rotating shaft (11 ) of a frame (10) and having one-directional bearings (31 ), direction-converting wheels (40, 40') connected perpendicular to the driving wheels (30, 30') by a chain (45), first supporting pipes (50, 50') supported by the frame (10) and having a guiding slot (62), first supporting rollers (51, 51 ') rotatably and movably installed in the first supporting pipes (50, 50'), chain connectors (70, 70') formed at the chain (45) to change the orientation direction of chain holes (46) and connected to center shafts of the first supporting rollers (51, 51 ') through the guiding slots (52), levers (80, 80') extended upward from the chain connectors (70, 70'), and pedals (90, 90') provided at the levers (80, 80') to perform forward and rearward reciprocating movements.
