Abstract:
Methods and systems are capable of being used to package products from a selection of products. A collection of one or more products is provided from the selection of products. Information is received, where the information includes one or more of recipient-specific information associated with an intended recipient of the collection and product-specific information associated with the collection. Targeted information is selected for the collection based on the received information. The targeted information is affixed on a protective packaging material to create a targeted protective packaging material. A package is created by combining the targeted protective packaging material and the collection.
Abstract:
An improved apparatus for the evaluation of the skin sensitivity of a patient to vibrations, also known as biothesiometry, includes an ergonomic box-shaped casing (1), housing a support structure (2), which supports a probe rod (3), able to oscillate in the longitudinal direction (W), with one end (4) that protrudes from a side wall (11) of the casing (1). A piezoelectric actuator (5) is connected to an inner end (6) of the probe rod by means of a first class lever (7), connected to the support structure (2) at the pivot point (8) and having an arm acting on the probe rod (3) longer than an arm connected with the piezoelectric actuator (5), so as to amplify the movement generated by the piezoelectric actuator (5) and transmitted to the probe rod (3) by the lever (7) to impart an oscillation to the latter along its longitudinal direction (W). A programmable control unit (20) controls the operation of the actuator (5) according to sequences of oscillations with predefined frequency and duration. A compression helical spring is arranged around the rod probe (3) to ensure its return movement.
Abstract:
An apparatus for applying leaflets (4) to containers (5), which comprises a fixed framework (2) that supports at least one magazine (3) for containing leaflets (4) which faces, with its outlet (3a), the peripheral region of an application drum (6), which can rotate about its own axis, with respect to the fixed framework (2), and is provided with at least one accommodation seat (7) for at least one respective leaflet (4) picked up from the outlet (3a) of the magazine (3) and intended to be transferred onto at least one respective container (5) moved by a conveyor (8); the application drum (6) can be actuated with a continuous rotary motion about its own axis and is provided, at the accommodation seat (7), with means (9) for retaining the leaflet (4) that can be moved on command between a condition that lies close to the axis of the application drum (6) and a condition that is spaced from the axis of the application drum (6).
Abstract:
A tamper evident tag (10) is provided having a sealant layer (12), an ink layer (14) and an oxygen barrier layer (16). The tag (10) may be a film-based tag incorporating a color shifting ink layer (34) located in the sealant layer (12) and a bar code (22) in the ink layer (14). The tag (10) may be placed over one or more perforations (30) in the bottom end covering (28) of a container (20). When the container (20) is opened, air enters the interior (21) of the container (20), passes through the perforations (30) and into the sealant layer (12). When air reaches the color shifting ink layer (34) it changes to a color the same as or similar to the bar code (22), rendering the bar code (22) illegible.
Abstract:
A tape for holding an information card holding a blister having a cavity for holding an item, where a hole in the information card allows affixing of the blister such that the cavity of the blister remains accessible for instance by inserting the cavity of the blister in the hole so it protrudes through the information card. By affixing the information cards in a repetitive pattern along the tape the assembled tape can be folded and individual blisters are no longerlost. An edge for severing the tape allows the removal of a single information card - blister assembly from the assembled tape. Separating the information cards on the tape allows room for folding the tape. Ensuring that the holes cut in the tape do not overlap allows the distance between the information cards along the tape to be reduced and result in an efficient stacking of the blisters when the tape is folded.
Abstract:
A flexible, stackable container (10) for storing a quantity of a product may- include a sealed package formed from a single sheet (26) of film and retaining the quantity of the product disposed therein, and a lid fitment (14) attached to a first side (42) of the package. The first side of the package may have an outer first surface of the film and outwardly extending first corner seals (58,60) formed in the film at the edges of the first side and surrounding the first side of the package. The package may also have a second side (44) disposed opposite the first side and outwardly extending second corner seals (62,64) formed in the film at the edges of the second side and surrounding the second side of the package. The lid fitment may include a base having a central opening and a lid (18) having a complimentary shape to the base to form a seal therebetween when the lid is closed down onto the base. The base may be sealed to one of the first surface of the first side, to the first corner seals surrounding the first side, or to both, such that a portion of the first surface is accessible from the exterior of the container when the lid is separated from the base of the lid fitment.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a packing assembly for the manual transport of products, characterised in that it comprises, on a rigid plane (10), one on another in the order, wheels means (20) and one or more product units (40), the wheels (21) of the wheels means (20) remaining on the outside of the rigid plane (10), the parts of the assembly being maintained in fixed reciprocal position by vertical holding means (31 ,32), so that the packing assembly (100,101) be transportable on said wheels (21). The invention further concerns a packing plant, for producing assemblies according to the invention, the plant comprising a packing line (260) upstream of which axle-wheels assemblies (20) are inletted (20), said axle-wheels assemblies (20) sliding the line (260) down to the combination with the other parts of the package; means (210) for the positioning of the plane (10) on a predetermined point of said line (260); means (270) for the temporary stopping of said plane and of said axle- wheels assemblies (20); means (240) for the positioning of the product to package on said plane (10); application means (220,280) for the application of means (31 ,32) of vertical holding of the package.

Abstract:
An in-line insert folder system includes a continuous roll of preprinted inserts, and a cutter for cutting individual inserts from the roll. A transport serially conveys the individual inserts in a downstream direction to a buckle folder that receives the inserts and folds each one along at least one fold line. An applicator serially receives the folded inserts from the buckle folder and applies the inserts to consumer packs such as cigarette packs, for example. The folded inserts may be directly applied to the packs before placement of flexible outer wrap or the folded inserts may be applied onto the flexible outer wrap before that wrap is placed around the packs.
