Flexible film (10) for packaging comprising, joined together, a first layer (4), a second layer (6) configured to provide a barrier through the film (10) with respect to moisture, gases and/or light, a fourth layer (12), configured to promote a substantially linear tearing of the film (10) and comprising polyolefins crystallised in a linear fashion, and a protective layer (14) comprising a thermoplastic polymer, covering at least part of the fourth layer (12) in order to prevent/limit the migration of fatty or oily substances through its thickness, towards the fourth layer (12). The invention also relates to an easy-opening bag, at least partially made from such film.

A pouch assembly for delivering a nutrient includes a plurality of pouches each defined by at least one panel of a material sealed at sufficient edges thereof to define an interior receiver. Each interior receiver may define the same or a different volume. The plurality of pouches are co-aligned in parallel and adhered to one another across at least a top width dimension thereof to define an assembly top seal. The at least one panel of material includes a predefined scoring disposed to provide the assembly with a frangible assembly tear line whereby each pouch of the plurality of pouches may be opened simultaneously at a same location. An optional assembly side seal may be provided.

A cook-in, stand-up pouch for live shellfish and a method for the same are provided. The pouch includes a main pocket for packing live shellfish; a second pocket formed upon the main pocket; an expansion member configured to: separate the main pocket and the second pocket, and automatically open the second pocket using steam pressure build-up in the main pocket to expand a volume of the pouch available for cooking of the shellfish; and a venting member configured to: transmit air for respiration of the live shellfish in the pouch; and control a release of steam in the pouch toward the outside of the pouch.

The present invention concerns a flexible package which is designed to contain a product, for instance a spice or a cosmetic product, wherein the flexible package is joined together to create a closed package. A dosage device is further arranged on an inner face of the closed package, said dosage device comprising an elastic dosage membrane, which elastic dosage membrane, over at least a part of its width and length, is provided with a number of incisions.

A package system is disclosed for dispensing controlled amounts of a chemical agent. The package system includes an outer package that is generally gas and liquid impermeable. The outer package contains an inner package made from a degradable material, such as a material that is water degradable. The inner package contains a measured amount of a chemical agent. The chemical agent may be difficult to handle and may have corrosive properties, may be an oxidizer, or the like. The package system facilitates dispensing the chemical agent into a particular environment. In one embodiment, the package system is designed to hold a chemical agent for treating recreational water sources, such as swimming pools.

A resealable and tamper resistant bag includes a front wall having a first resealable feature, and a back wall having a second resealable feature adapted to form a seal with the first resealable feature. The front and back walls are sealingly connected along at least a pair of sides to define at least part of a holding portion of the bag. A sealed tamper resistant strip portion is formed integrally with the holding portion and is disposed adjacent the first and second resealable features. At least one seam is disposed between the holding portion and the strip portion for allowing the strip portion to be selectively removed, at least in part, from the holding portion by a user. At least one tab is defined by the seam to facilitate the user moving the first and second resealable features from a sealed position to an unsealed position.
