Abstract:
The invention relates to a foot for a container (1) which is detachable from and attachable to the container and which consists of a vertical elongated foot stem (2) which will be situated against the container and which has attachment locks (3, 4, 4b) which will be situated in the container. One attachment lock (3), which preferably is the lower lock, consists of a fixed locking tongue (5) which is in the foot stem and which can be pushed (6) into the locking corner in the container (1) and which can be turned (7) into the locking position, at which the foot stem (2) becomes locked into the container. The other attachment lock (4, 4b), which preferably is the upper lock, is a hook shaped locking bolt which can be locked into another locking corner in the container.
Abstract:
An extendible height container is provided in which the corner elements telescope to extend the height of the container from standard ISO dimensions. An enlarged shelter can be formed from the container by providing sides which fold down to form the floor of the shelter and a flexible cover supported above the floor thus created.
Abstract:
This invention provides a load, typically a canopy (12), configured for carrying on a load bed (14 )of a vehicle (16). The canopy (12) includes at least one stand (18) which is configured to be selectively positionable between an in use position where an end of the stand (18) makes contact with a surface outside the vehicle (16), and a storage position which reduces the effect of the at least one stand (18) on the operation of the vehicle. The end of the stand (18) that makes contact with a surface (22) outside the vehicle (16) typically includes a wheel (20) at an end thereof. The stand (18) is configured to enable, in use, contact of the wheel (20) with a surface (22) outside the vehicle (16) so that the canopy (12) can be wheeled off the vehicle (16).
Abstract:
A mechanically operated elevating apparatus of steel column structure which can be operated both in a portable and in a located form. The ground jack of the elevating apparatus is a telescope-like structure, where the elevating pillar guided on its lower support pillar is driven by an electric transmission mechanism arranged on top of the gound jack, by way of a lead screw encased in the elevating pillar. The main pieces of the ground jacks can easily and fast be disassembled, thus they can be transported on the vehicle in the container sections arranged under the frame of the container transporting vehicle. In a portable form it is mainly suited for containers of series 1, while in its located form with its expedient gripping and loading auxiliary mechanisms is suitable for elevating and moving by air cushion containers of series 1, moreover road vehicles, railway trailed vehicles and heavy objects.
Abstract:
A portable container lift or weighing system includes lifting units, each including a hydraulic linear actuator and a mounting arrangement for mounting the actuator to a shipping container. The system includes a number of portable components, that can be handled by a single worker. The system may provide a means for weighing the container.
Abstract:
A lifting and lowering system for the delivery to, and/or removal of, a structural article (1), such as a storage container, to a ground level loading/unloading site, comprises a trailer (17) or a flat-back motorized vehicle (2, 3); the article (1) being adapted to be transferable between the trailer (17) or the flat-back vehicle (2, 3) and the ground and vice versa; an hydraulic power pack; and a set of at least four ground- engageable, and manually handleable, hydraulic rams (11) adapted, to be transported to and from site with the trailer (17) or flat-back motor vehicle (2, 3) and, to be temporarily and manually fitted, to the article (1) and connected to the power pack for sequenced raising/lowering of the article (1).
Abstract:
A container transporter for moving a container from one location to another, in which the container transporter comprises four trolleys each adapted to attach to a container. Each trolley includes at least one wheel (13, 14), a base, an upright frame (1), at least one attachment means (29,29a,30,30a) for attaching the trolley to the container, and a jacking mechanism (23-30a) for lifting the container. When in use, each trolley is attached to the container proximal to a corner edge (34,35) of the container so that each of the four corners of the container is supported by one of the trolleys. At least one of the trolleys includes a motor for driving the wheel of that trolley. Two trolleys are attached at one end of the container are connected by a steering mechanism (15,16) to enable the transporter to be steered.

Abstract:
The invention comprises a method of loading or unloading a transportable container onto or from a transporting vehicle. The method involves engaging each of the four corner regions of the container (3) with an apparatus (1, 43) having a powered extendable and retractable leg (2). To unload the container from the transporting vehicle shown in Fig. 5, each leg (2) is synchronously lowered so that they engage the ground surface and accordingly lift the container (3). The transporting vehicle is then moved from under the container (3). Alternatively, if the container (3) is to be loaded onto the transporting vehicle shown in Fig 5, the deck of the transporting vehicle is positioned under the container (3) once the legs (2) have been lowered. Then, synchronously each of the legs (2) is raised so as to lower the container (3) onto the ground or to lower the container (3) onto the deck of the transporting vehicle. Each apparatus (1, 43) is then disengaged from the corner regions of the container (3). The invention also relates to the apparatus for loading or unloading a container (3) onto or from a transporting vehicle. Four lifting devices (1, 43) are provided each having an extendable leg (2) formed by a piston and cylinder assembly. Each lifting device (1, 43) has a peg (4) which engages an upper aperture in a container (3), a second locating means (20) is provided for engaging the lower part of the container (3) and a foot (31) for contacting the ground surface. The apparatus can be used to relocate containers (3).
