Abstract:
A roof vent member with an integrated fan assembly is disclosed. The roof vent member includes an upper plate having fasteners that extend downward below a roof deck when installed to allow for access to the fan assembly from underneath the roof deck. Thus, the fan assembly may be installed, removed, replaced, maintained, etc. from underneath the roof without having to get on the roof or otherwise disrupt the roof envelope. The roof vent may include the upper plate, a subflashing, the fan assembly, sealing elements, screens, and other features. A secondary roof vent member may be included which may include solar panels. Associated methods of using the vent members, such as installing, removing, and replacing the vent member or various components thereof, are further disclosed.

Mobile carts are adapted to facilitate both storage and mobility. In at least one example, a mobile cart may include a frame with a first longitudinal end and an opposing second longitudinal end. A swing-arm assembly may be coupled to the frame to pivot between a storage mode and a cart mode, where a handle is positioned adjacent the first longitudinal end of the frame and a pair of wheels are positioned beyond the second longitudinal end of the frame when the swing-arm assembly is positioned in the storage mode, and where the handle is positioned beyond the second longitudinal end of the frame and the wheels are positioned adjacent a bed portion of the frame when the swing-arm assembly is positioned in the cart mode. L'invention concerne un dispositif d'absorption d'énergie cinétique pour élément de structure d'aéronef susceptible d'être soumis à un impact dynamique, comportant: - une enveloppe externe (21) en matériau composite tressé apte à conserver, après impact, une intégrité, - un cœur en mousse (22), contenu dans l'enveloppe externe et apte à remplir au moins partiellement ladite enveloppe externe, ledit cœur en mousse étant apte à absorber au moins partiellement l'énergie cinétique générée par l'impact, et - des éléments de renfort comportant au moins une préforme en fibres composites sèches (30) intégrée dans le cœur en mousse pour dissiper, en association avec le cœur en mousse, l'énergie cinétique générée par l'impact. L'invention concerne également un procédé d'intégration de ce dispositif d'absorption d'énergie cinétique.

The invention pertains to a thermoplastic fluoropolymer composition comprising: - at least one semi-crystalline polymer comprising recurring units derived from ethylene and at least one of chlorotrifluoroethylene (CTFE) and tetrafluoroethylene (TFE), said polymer having a heat of fusion of at most 35 J/g [polymer (A)]; and - from 0.05 to 5 % by weight, based on weight of polymer (A), of particles of at least one inorganic UV blocker compound, said particles having an average particle size of 1 to 150 nm, said composition being suitable for manufacturing UV-opaque films having outstanding transparency and haze properties.

A sealed unit includes at least two sheets of material separated by a spacer. In one example, a spacer includes an elongate strip having a first longitudinal edge and a second longitudinal edge and defines a plane extending between at least portions of the first and second longitudinal edges. The spacer also includes at leas a first stabilizer connected to the elongate strip adjacent the first longitudinal edge. The first stabilizer has a first surface arranged substantially perpendicular to the plane. The first surface is adapted to support the elongate strip against a first sheet of material. Some embodiments include a second stabilizer adapted to support the elongate strip against the second sheet of material.

In general terms, this disclosure is directed to a window assembly and a window spacer. In one possible configuration and by non-limiting example, the window assembly includes a first sheet, a second sheet, and a spacer arranged between the first sheet and the second sheet. The spacer includes a first elongate strip, a second elongate strip, and continuous sidewalls or a plurality of sidewalls. In some embodiments the sidewalls include a first portion having a first fastening mechanism and a second portion have a second fastening mechanism. The first fastening mechanism is arranged and configured to securely engage with the second fastening mechanism to connect the first portion with the second portion.

Apparatus and methods for securing a first structural member (10) and a second structural member (12) to one another. In one embodiment a two-piece fitting (36) is provided.' The fitting includes a variable gap between attachment surfaces, enabling the fitting to accommodate structural members of variable thickness. The fitting also includes overlapping sections (42, 52) that provide increased resistance to pull-off loads and impact loads. The configuration of the fitting advantageously simplifies the assembly process and preserves the integrity of the adhesive to form a strong joint.
