Abstract:
The present invention provides a rail conveyor system of the type having a rail track (9) including a delivery run (1) extending between a loading end (5) and a discharge end (6) and a return run (12) extending from the discharge end (6) to the loading end (5), a plurality of carriages (8) spaced apart from one another and arranged to run on wheels (24) supported by the track (9), and a continuous carry belt (10) supported by the carriages (8); wherein, at least at the discharge end (6), the carriages (8) are turned around to return to the loading end (5) by being entrained around only one or more vertical turnover wheels (7) arranged such that the carriages (7) are delivered to the return run (12) beneath the delivery run (1).
Abstract:
A conveyor belt section (10) capable of bending vertically and horizontally includes a base (12) and side walls (14, 16) extending anguiarly from opposing sides of the base ( 12) to form a channel (18), wherein the belt section ( 10) is corrugated with at least two alternating peaks (20) and troughs (22) extending continuously across the side walls ( 1 4, 16) and base (12).
Abstract:
A conveyor for a construction vehicle includes a frame removably connectable with the vehicle. The frame includes front and rear ends, first and second sides extending between the two ends, and upper and lower surfaces extending between the front and rear ends. An endless belt is disposed generally about the frame and at least one and preferably a pair of support members are connected with the frame. Each support member has a first, vertical portion connected with the frame first side and a second, horizontal portion extending generally beneath the frame lower surface and being disposeable upon a base surface. The two support members are configured to retain the entire frame and the belt spaced generally above the base surface so as to facilitate removal of the belt from the frame and alternatively facilitate installation of the belt upon the frame. Preferably, each support member includes an L-shaped bended bar.

Abstract:
A web cover for an endless conveyor is formed from one continuous belt (10) of wear-resistant, non-metallic sheet material in which a plurality of closely spaced holes (12) are provided. The web cover is endless and intended to overlie the screen (20) of said conveyor wherein the web cover is formed with the ends of the belt (10) being joined together by fastening means. The fastening means comprises two parts (30, 32). Both parts (30, 32) have reflexive sections and have two limbs (34) with one part (30) being secured to each end of the belt (10) with a limb (34) above and below the said end of the belt (10). One part (30) is provided with a lengthwise series of spaced hook elements (36) and the other part (32) is provided with a correspondingly spaced lengthwise series of apertures (38) through which extends and is secured a rod (40) around which each hook element (36) is engagable and is held.
Abstract:
A belt (1) for an endless belt conveyor of the type having a pair of cables or like flexible elongated elements supporting the belt therebetween. The belt (1) comprises a central portion (11) and two longitudinal side portions (12) each having a thickened bead (13). Each bead is provided with a longitudinal bore (15) extending therealong to receive a one of the cables. Each bead is also provided with a slit or other means to provide an opening (19) extending both outwardly through the bead from the bore and along the length of the bead through which opening the cable can pass. A retaining means (21) is provided for releasably retaining together the portions of the bead on the opposed sides of the slit. The retaining means may be in the form of interlocking male and female elements (23 and 25) respectively. Also disclosed is an endless belt conveyor fitted with an endless belt of the construction described.
Abstract:
Curved conveyors are disclosed herein. An embodiment of a curved conveyor (200) includes a first end (210) and a second end (212). Items to be conveyed are received onto the conveyor at the first end (210) and the items to be conveyed are removed from the conveyor at the second end (212). The conveyor (200) forms an arc between the first end (210) and the second end (212). A continuous belt (206) rotates between the first end (210) and the second end (212) along the arc of the curved conveyor (200). The belt (206) has a forward path during its travel from the first end (210) to the second end (212) and a return path during its travel from the second end (212) to the first end (210). A chain (204) is attached to the belt (206) wherein the chain (204) forms a catenary (202) in at least a portion of the return path.
Abstract:
A conveyor system having a first conveyor intersecting a second conveyor is provided. A multi-belt transition conveyor assembly is provided at the intersection of the first and second conveyors. The transition conveyor assembly includes a plurality of parallel conveyors of varying lengths. Each belt includes a link belt and a support layer connected to the link belt. The support layer overhangs the link belt and may be comprised of a series of separate elements extending along the length of the link belt.
