Abstract:
A spool holder (10) includes a cylinder (12) defining a longitudinal axis and having an external surface (14) on which a spool of wire (62) may be supported. A first plate (16) is positioned at a first end (18) of the cylinder (12) and a second plate (20) is positioned at a second end (22) of the cylinder (12). Both first and second plates (16, 20) have portions extending radially outward from the external surface (14) of the cylinder (12). The first and second plates (16, 20) both have a perpendicular orientation relative to the longitudinal axis. The first and second plates (16, 20) restrict axial movement of the spool of wire (62) therebetween. The first plate (16) and cylinder (12) are stationary relative to a mounting structure (52), while the second plate (20) is configured to rotate with the spool of wire (62). A mechanism (100) urges the second plate (20) and, thus, the spool of wire (62) toward the first plate (16), thereby regulating rotation of the spool of wire (62).
Abstract:
An apparatus (100) and a system for facilitating the wrapping of articles with wrapping materials is described. In one example, the system includes two or more apparatuses (100) adapted to be secured in adjacent spaced relation to one another on a planar surface so as to support a roll (200) of wrapping material above the planar surface so as to freely rotate between a pair of apparatuses (100). Each apparatus (100) includes a clamp assembly (120) adapted to be actuated by a user to removably attach its corresponding apparatus (100) to a ledge (150) of the planar surface so that the supported roll (200) is parallel to and above the planar surface.
Abstract:
A tape roll holder includes a plate from which extends a cylindrical bearing formed from two or more arcuate prongs. A cylindrical spindle dimensioned to be snugly received within an axially defined hole in the roll of tape is mounted to the bearing such that it is allowed to rotate freely. A spring clip is included to allow the holder to be worn on a belt.
Abstract:
A feed and cutting unit for selectively cutting and dispensing individual weight material segments from a common strip of backing material is disclosed. The feed and cutting unit comprises a feed assembly, a sensor and a cutter member. The feed assembly includes a drive roller and a follower roller that frictionally engages first and second surfaces of a strip of weight material to selectively move the strip of weight material to a cutter member. The sensor is connected to a controller and measures an amount of segmented weight material on the backing material as the strip of weight material moves past the sensor. The cutter member is actuated to separate weight material segments from the backing material by cutting at least a portion of the backing material in a gap disposed between adjacent segments. Weight apply devices that receive the segments for application to an imbalanced member, are also disclosed.
Abstract:
A tape dispenser assembly (20,120) comprising: a housing having an at least partially enclosed interior (22,122); and a mandrel (10,110) disposed in the interior and coupled to the housing; the mandrel (10,110) adapted to receive and releasably retain a tape roll (30,130) having a core opening thereon, wherein the mandrel (10,110) comprises a first sidewall (12) projecting from a base (11) and a second sidewall (12) projecting from a base (11) generally parallel to the first sidewall (12), wherein the first and second sidewalls (12) each comprise a hub structure (13) projecting therefrom and adapted to releasably engage the core opening of the tape roll (30,130), and wherein the assembly (20,120) is configured such that: (i) a tape roll (30,130) having a core opening can be inserted at least partially into the interior (22,122) and the core opening of the tape roll (30,130) releasably engaged with the first and second sidewalls (12) so as to secure the tape roll (30,130) in dispensing configuration and disengaged from the first and second sidewalls (12), substantially without dissassemblying the housing, and (ii) a tape roll (30,130) in dispensing configuration can be disengaged from the first and second sidewalls (12) and removed from the interior (22,122), substantially without dissassemblying the housing.
Abstract:
A device (1) for feeding self-adhesive or "pressure sensitive" labels to a labelling machine comprises a frame (2) and supporting means (3) comprising a supporting plate (17) for supporting a reel (4) of web (5) with labels applied to it, and also comprises at least one guide element (28, 29) designed to be at least partly inserted in a central hole (7) of the reel (4) which can rotate about it. The device (1) also comprises a station (8) for detaching the labels from the web (5), means (9) for feeding the web (5) to the detaching station (8) and means (10) for recovering the web (5) without labels. The supporting plate (17) is removably associated with the frame (2) and the supporting means (3) also comprise a containment head (30) connected to the frame (2) and able to move relative to it between an open position, in which it allows the coupling with and uncoupling from the frame (2) of the supporting plate (17) with the reel (4) placed on it, and an operating position, in which it allows the reel (4) to be held between itself and the supporting plate (17), allowing reel (4) rotation.
Abstract:
The present application provides a napkin dispenser for dispensing a number of folded napkins from a sheet material to an end user. The napkin dispenser may include a loading station for loading the sheet material, a folding station for folding a napkin from the sheet material, and a presentation station for presenting one or more of the folded napkins to the end user.
Abstract:
A dispenser assembly (1) for dispensing a sheet (2) from a roll of sheet material (3), the roll of sheet material (3) defining a cavity (4) extending longitudinally, the dispenser assembly (1) comprises: - a roll holder (5) for removably holding the roll of sheet material (3), the roll of sheet material (3) being free to rotate relatively to the roll holder (5); - a base (6) for supporting the roll holder (5) and for coupling the dispenser assembly (1) with an environment structure (7); and - a pair of coupling elements (8) comprising a first element (9) coupled to the roll of sheet material (3) and a second element (10) integral to the roll holder (5), the first element (9) being coupled in a free to rotate and removable manner relatively to the second element (10) by magnetic coupling. The first element (9) comprises a longitudinally extending engaging portion (11) which is arranged to at least partially engage with an end portion (12) of the cavity (4) of the roll of sheet material (3) so that the first element (9) is fixedly secured to the roll of sheet material (3).
