    摘要: The present disclosure is directed to devices for dispensing liquid, especially fuel. In one embodiment, a device for dispensing fuel includes a spout for pouring liquid fuel, an annular fitting including a chamber formed therein. A sealing surface, a stopper, and spring may be disposed within the chamber. The annular fitting may be attached to the spout. The annular fitting may be configured to mate with a portable fuel container. The fitting may include sidewalls forming a channel for liquid fuel, an outer wall enveloping a portion of the sidewall forming a chamber proximate the liquid channel, and an atmospheric orifice formed in the outer wall. The sealing surface may be disposed proximal the orifice. The spring may be configured to bias the stopper into contact with the sealing surface such that the chamber is in selective pressure-dependent fluid communication with an atmosphere outside the device.

    摘要: A gasoline pump clip (30) holds the operating lever of the pump nozzle (20) in the "on" position. The nozzle is generally "C" shaped so that it can be used from either side or upside down. One portion of the "C" is inserted into the handle frame (26) to hold the operating lever (24) in its "on" position while the other portion of the "C" rests on top of the handle frame (26), thus holding the operating lever (24) to the top of the frame. The "C" shape also guards against rotation of the clip (30) from its working position and makes it compact enough to be secured to the inside of the vehicle's fill port cover (16).

Liquid flow may be controlled by adjusting the position of the valve body in relation to the valve handle and spool using varying force or pressure. The spool may include one or more holes to control the flow of liquid. In some examples of the invention, the spool may narrow in an S-shaped fashion, and the holes of the spool may be located on a portion of the spool that narrows to form S-shaped holes. These holes may swirl liquid as it is poured from the nozzle to create a more uniform flow.

    摘要: A dispensing nozzle has a body (10) adapted to be connected to a supply of liquidified petroleum gas by connector piece (11) and to a vehicle gas tank by a threaded insert (19) in swivel nut (15). Gas is applied to the reservoir within the valve body (24) through the connector piece (11) and is delivered through a main valve having a valve seat (33) and a piston valve (23). Piston valve (23) and valve cylinder (22) form a dash pot which is pressurised by gas flowing through passageway (37). There is an annular gap between the piston valve (24) and the valve cylinder (22) through which gas will bleed as soon as the valve (23) is cracked from its seat (33) to reduce the pressure in the dash pot which enables easy opening of the main valve. The swivel nut (15) is locked in position by pin (20) which engages one of a plurality of recesses (21) at its rear face when the nozzle is open.

    摘要: A device for delivering a preset volume of fluid, such as oil, includes a casing (10) with an inlet port (16), an outlet port (17) and supply passages (22, 24) for flow of fluid from the inlet port (16) to the outlet port (17). A valve including a valve member (24) is situated to control the flow of the fluid through a valve chamber (23). The valve is manually actuated to an open position and held by momentary energization of a latching solenoid (36). When the fluid volume reaches a preset volume, the latching solenoid (36) is energized again to allow the release the valve member (24) to return to a closed position. In the event of a battery low condition, the latching solenoid (36) can be disabled, so that the valve can only be held open manually, thereby preventing an electrical failure with the valve open. A manual push botton (21) is directly connected to the valve member (24) for closing the valve manually. A method for controlling the dispensing of a fluid is also disclosed.
