Abstract:
In a carpet manufacturing method, for a plurality of yarns each having a length, a plurality of marks are provided on each yarn at selected locations along the yarn. In the carpet manufacturing method and in a carpet manufacturing assembly, each yarn is stored on or in an associated storage, and fed from its associated storage to a carpet manufacturing apparatus. For each yarn, the marks on the yarn are detected upstream of the carpet manufacturing apparatus. On the basis of the detection of the marks, the uptake of the yarn by the carpet manufacturing apparatus is controlled, where after, in the carpet manufacturing apparatus, the yarns are processed to form at least part of a carpet.
Abstract:
In a prior art sewing machine, the tensioner is released in both directions of the axially mobile gear element (21), and hence the thread tensioner is also opened when the needle thread is seized. In the new design, the motion of the gear element (21) is transmitted via a one-way coupling (53), and therefore the thread tensioner is open only while the needle thread is being tensioned.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A threading device in sewing machines for embroidery. The device comprises a thread nipping member (31) for nipping an end of a thread depending from a thread feeding pipe (28a), a thread stretching mechanism (3) for conducting to a position near a needle a thread nipped by the thread nipping member and putting the stretched thread on a thread take-up lever mechanism (4), and a threading mechanism (7) for conducting the thread to a needle hole. The threading mechanism comprises a hook member, of which a tip end is formed to be hook-shaped, a thread drawing mechanism provided on both sides of the hook member, and an air nozzle for feeding the thread nipped by the thread nipping member toward a thread insertion hole formed in a guide member of the thread drawing mechanism. The air nozzle stretches a thread on the hook member inserted into the needle hole, and both ends of the thread inserted through the thread insertion hole formed on the guide member of the threading mechanism are depressed along a side surface of the guide member by a thread depressing mechanism to be clipped on the hook member. It is possible to automatically change colored threads and fix thread breakage.
Abstract:
A sewing machine for textile, leather or similar materials, of the type comprising means of forming the stitching by crossing upper and lower threads, is provided with two levers in order to allow the feeding of the upper thread to a shuttle and the recovery of the loop formed by the shuttle itself, together with means synchronised with the movement of the levers for periodically tensioning the upper thread.
Abstract:
A thread supply device for sewing machines which enables appropriate adjusting of paying-out of a thread in accordance with various seams. A thread paid out from a thread supply mechanism is held between a thread pressing disc and a base disc of a thread pressing mechanism, and is held between upper and lower discs of a tension adjusting mechanism. Thus the device is made simple in construction and inexpensive as compared with conventional sewing machines which are controlled by a microcomputer. Also, timing in pressing a thread can be adjusted by vertically moving the base disc to adjust a gap between the thread pressing disc and the base disc whereby a length of thread paid out by a payout roller can be appropriately adjusted in accordance with various seams, and a length of thread per stitch is always made constant, so that a sewn product is uniformly finished. Further, a thread is forcedly supplied to prevent any excessive tension from acting on a thread and deflection of a needle caused thereby.
Abstract:
A sewing machine with a needle thread cassette, wherein a cassette mount (3) is reduced in size. The cassette mount (3) including a thread take-up lever travel region is formed in the form of a vertical groove in the arm head of the sewing machine. A needle thread cassette (2) having a thread bobbin (62) vertically received therein is removably mounted on the cassette mount (3) vertically from above. With a thread take-up lever (25) stopped in a position corresponding to a needle top stop position, the needle thread cassette (2) is mounted on the cassette mount (3), whereby the thread is engaged with the thread guard of the thread take-up lever (25) and a thread tension regulator (9).
