Abstract:
The invention discloses a working method for giving a worn-out aspect to articles of clothing which consists in treating at least one article of clothing, fitted on a manikin (2), by means of the abrasive action generated by the relative displacement of said article of clothing (6) and of one or more rotating brushes (9) in relative contact along the article of clothing itself, combined with a swinging motion (51) of said rotating brushes over a plane which is transversal to the article of clothing itself. Such a working method is applied by means of a machine (1) provided with at least one kinematic structure (15, 7, 71, 13) suited to realize said swinging motion of said brushes (9) which consists of the alternate rotation (51) of said brushes around an essentially vertical axis (14).
Abstract:
An integrated automated manufacturing system for finishing individual garments is provided. The system includes a conveyor (12), a fixture (24) constructed for movement on the conveyor (12), a form (58) for holding a garment for finishing in a predetermined fixed orientation relative to the fixture (24), and finishing stations (70) to which the conveyor (12) carries garments mounted on the fixtures (24). The fixture form (58) can be inflated to a 3-D form, and the finishing station (70) can include robot manipulated tools, apply chemical or mechanical finishes, etc. A computer (91) integrates the operation of the system receiving information from the operator about the physical characteristics of the garments and the finishing steps to be performed.
Abstract:
A device for forming hosiery, in particular tights, stockings, knee-length socks and socks, has a form that corresponds to the contour of a flat projection of a human leg. In order to simplify the form, to make it easier to stretch the hosiery on the form and to draw it away from the form and to simplify visual quality control, the contour (13) corresponds to a flat projection of a front view of a leg.
Abstract:
An apparatus (10) suitable for steam setting and finishing textile articles carried by forms (19), comprising first and second shell members (11, 12) having facing inner surfaces (13, 14) defining a flat steam chamber (18), in which at least one of the shell members (11, 12) is movably supported between a retracted and an advanced position to open and close the steam chamber connectable to a steam source, to reduce the heat losses and consumption of thermal energy, in which both shell members (11, 12) are integrally manufactured with a non-metal thermally-insulating material.
Abstract:
The transporting device for shapes in machines for treating textile articles comprises a supporting member (3) for one shape (2) at least, constituted by an elongated section. A couple of sliding blocks (4) is constrained at opposite ends of this supporting member (3). The sliding blocks (4) are sliding on an operational surface (8) of the machine, upon operation of pusher means associated with the machine itself. Guiding elements (14) are fitted on the operational surface (8) of the machine and peripherally engage the sliding blocks (4) in order to keep the device along a polygonal pathway defined by the guiding elements (14) themselves.
Abstract:
A device for obtaining off-axis reinforcement of a woven object (10) is made up of a fixed mandrel (20) and a rotating mandrel (22). The rotating mandrel (22) is connected to the fixed mandrel (20) by shaft that rotates through the middle of the fixed mandrel (22). The shaft allows the rotating mandrel (22) to move up and down in relation to the fixed mandrel (20). A portion of the woven object (10) can be clamped to the fixed mandrel (20) while a second portion of the woven object (10) can be clamped to the rotating mandrel (22). When rotated, the rotating mandrel (22) causes the warp fibers (12) in the woven object (l0) to twist off the 0 ° direction while fill or hoop fibers (14) remain substantially parallel to the 90 ° direction.
Abstract:
According to he method for treating textile articles, the textile articles to be treated are fed on to shapes (2) fitted to supporting members (10). Gliding independently each other on a platform (5) of the boarding or semi-boarding machine, and positioned in mutual contact at respective sides along a polygonal pathway defined by guiding means (4). The supporting members (10) are transported in step along the polygonal pathway, by the engagement with towing means (20) acting independently at each linear stretch of the polygonal pathway, so that in each step at least one position at the concurrence of two linear stretches of the polygonal pathway is maintained unoccupied. At least one of the supporting members (10), on which the textile articles to be treated are fed, is arranged in a halt position upstream from a semi-boarding station (S) and then is moved to take the shapes (2) into the semi-boarding station (S). After the semi-boarding treatment, this supporting member (10) is transferred to a station where the textile articles, treated, are extracted from the shapes (2).
Abstract:
An apparatus for automatic loading socks on forms (1) comprises a suction unit (20) at the entry, a carousel (10) with several stations, a sock positioning unit (30), a sock tucking up unit (40) and a withdrawing and loading robot (50). The carousel has heads (11) carrying elongated supports (12) on which socks (2) are put partially or completely. The heads (11) rotate integrally to the carousel (10) carrying the elongated supports (12) through four following stations and respectively a station at the entry (2) for opening the socks and putting them onto the elongated supports (12), a positioning station (3), a tucking up station (4) and a withdrawing station (5). The socks are widened at the entry by means of suction counter rotating rollers, whereas the tucking up step is carried out by means of tangential friction rollers counter rotating and the loading step is carried out by means of a two stations robot with arms capable of raising and lowering as well as of rotating to load the socks on the steaming forms, by means of fingers that are widened and then approached with respect to each other.
Abstract:
The description relates to a device and process for shaping tights in which the tights are drawn over two adjacent templates (242, 244) with the outline of a flat projection of the front view of a human leg, whereby the templates (242, 244) can be arranged in a mutually parallel position at least by being pulled down. The tights are drawn over the templates (242, 244) preferably in an aligned position one behind the other and then treated with heat, preferably steam, to give them a shape and finally removed from the templates (242, 244). This provides a shaped pair of tights, the legs of which have the shape of a flat projection of a front view of the human leg, firstly making it possible to provide a better presentation of the finished hosiery and secondly facilitating putting the tights on and taking them off.
Abstract:
Disclosed are flexible, kink-resistant shaped fabric products which are particularly well adapted for protecting and/or covering elongate substrates, such as cables, conduits, wiring and the like. The shaped fabric products include a wall portion comprising a filament resiliently set in a spiral configuration with respect to the longitudinal axis of the shaped product. The wall portion may also preferably comprise a filament in the form of circumferential hoops substantially conforming in shape and size to the cross-sectional configuration of the shaped product. Also disclosed are methods for forming such shaped product.
