Abstract:
A material spreading system including a spreader (50) and a tote (10), and related methods, are disclosed. The spreader may include a frame attachable to a loading machine such as a skid loader, an inlet for receiving a material, one or more connector members, and a discharge mechanism configured to selectively discharge the material onto the ground. The tote (10) may include a container for storing the material and one or more connector members. The connector members of the tote may be configured to matingly engage the connector members of the spreader such that an opening in the container aligns with the inlet of the spreader. Accordingly, the material in the container may be transferred from the container to the spreader (50). Furthermore, the material spreading system may be used in various application including those involving the spread of granular and/or liquid de-icing material over the ground.
Abstract:
A grading blade for use with a plate compactor and a plate compactor having a grading blade, for use in grading base material when compacting. The grading blade is user movable relative to the plate compactor via a connection to a pivoting handle of the plate compactor or via a separate controller. The grading blade may be configured for use with a laser level and/or for remote control.
Abstract:
A sand bunker rake/infield groomer vehicle (20) having a frame (24); a plurality of wheels (26) to traverse a driven surface, wherein the wheels are rotatably mounted to the frame; a power source mounted to the frame; and a rear attachment structure (36) attached to the frame, wherein the rear attachment structure provides a joint (46) enabling rotation; a bracket (50) including a shaft (54) wherein the bracket is configured to cooperate with an associated rake/grooming attachment (68); and a pivoting bracket (64) mounted to the frame.
Abstract:
A spreading apparatus for winter service to be installed on a vehicle comprises an underbody on which a spreading material container (1) is mounted. The underbody comprises a belt or screw conveyor (3) which moves in the longitudinal direction of the container (1) towards a spreading material distributor (4). The underbody also comprises a frame (2) on which the container (1) is supported. The container (1) is composed of individual, prefabricated wall elements (11), preferably made of plastic or a plastic-steel composite.
Abstract:
The objection of the invention is a method for deicing and/or removal of snow from a surface. In the method at least one crystalline substance is brought to impact with the ice and/or snow with such force that said at least one crystalline substance upon impact with the ice and/or snow breaks up the ice and/or snow mechanically and heat energy being released in the impact vaporises at least the broken up ice and/or snow into the air into water vapor. The objection of the invention is also an apparatus aggregate for deicing and/or removal of snow from a surface. The apparatus aggregate (6) includes: - at least one crystal container (1) for at least one crystalline substance - at least one nozzle (4) connected to said at least one crystal container (1) - at least one power unit (3) for bringing the at least one crystalline substance from the at least one crystal container (1) into said at least one nozzle (4) and out therefrom for bringing the at least one crystalline substance to impact with ice and/or snow with such force that said at least one crystalline substance upon impact with the ice and/or snow breaks up the ice and/or snow mechanically and heat energy being released in the impact vaporises at least the broken up ice and/or snow into the air into water vapor.
Abstract:
A spreading apparatus (10) for spreading granular and/or pulverulent material such as grain, salt, fertiliser and the like is disclosed. The apparatus (10) includes a hopper (11) having a discharge aperture (12), a vibration unit (17) arranged for agitating material within the hopper (11), circuitry (22) arranged for supplying power from a power source to one or more material handling components of the spreading apparatus (11), monitoring the power drawn by the one or more material handling components and controlling operation of the vibration unit (17) in dependence upon said power. In various embodiments, the material handling components may include one or more of: a spreading disk (15) arranged for distributing material received from the discharge aperture (12); an auger (18) extending through the discharge aperture (12); and/or a conveyer belt arranged for conveying material from the discharge aperture to the spreading disk (15). A method for spreading granular and/or pulverulent material is also disclosed.
Abstract:
A spreader assembly used to spread a material held in a hopper onto an associated ground surface may include a spreader mount that: (1) has at least three laterally spaced ground contacting surfaces that support the spreader assembly to a ground surface when the spreader assembly is detached from a vehicle; and, (2) remains attached to the spreader assembly when the spreader assembly is attached to the vehicle.
Abstract:
A spreader for spreading treatment products on soil to improve the quality thereof are disclosed. The spreader consists of a vehicle including a frame (103) slidably housing an assembly (105, 106) of a hopper and a metering device. The frame also supports soil shearing means (114) located ahead of the hopper, and mixing means (112) located behind the hopper for mixing together the spread product and the loosened soil. As a result, soil treatment may be enhanced and the nuisance caused by spreading may be diminished.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a spreader for sand, salt, etc. comprising a container, e.g. rectangular, for spreading the material. It is characterised in that the container is supported on a vehicle by means of two support bars (2, 6) passing through support sleeves (3) and also through openings in the container (1), at least one of said openings (4) being laterally oblong, preferably rectangular with sideways extension, enabling the container to be fitted at different distances between the support sleeves of the vehicle.
