Abstract:
Roof window has a lower sash (3) mounted in the common window frame (1) with the main pivot sash (2), situated in the upper part of this window frame, in addition the lower sash is opened as a tilt window turning around its horizontal axis of rotation situated at its bottom and the window is fitted with side shields (4, 6) filling the space between the lower sash (3) and the window frame (1) in all stages of this window opening.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a tilting window, in particular to be placed in a roof, comprising a casing and a tiltable frame holding a window pane. The tiltable frame is connected to the casing in such a manner that it can be tilted about a horizontal axis and can at least be placed in a closed position and an open position. The tilting window is provided with a ventilation passage which at least in part runs through a ventilation opening in the tiltable frame and, in the closed position of the tiltable frame, aows an airflow from one side of the tilting window to the other. The tiltable frame also comprises a closure element by means of which in a first position the ventilation passage can be closed off and in a second position the ventilation passage is opened. The tilting window is provided with control means which can be used to control the flow rate of an airflow passing through the ventilation passage.
Abstract:
A skylight (10) having a roof portion (12) with a plurality of ventilating tabs (61) and a plurality of non-ventilating tabs (62) disposed substantially parallel to and spaced above a roof (31) of a building. The ratio of ventilating tabs (61) to non-ventilating tabs (62) can be altered to alter the flow of air through the skylight. The disposition of the ventilating tabs (61) assists the draw of air the skylight (10) and inhibits ingress of debris and water.
Abstract:
Structures and methods for livestock, such as those, for example, for accommodating and/or milking livestock. The structures of this disclosure, and features thereof, provide numerous efficiencies and advantages over preexisting structures. As will be described in detail below, the present structures can accommodate large numbers of livestock (e.g., cows, goats, sheep, hogs, poultry, camels, and the like) due to the size of the structures. For example, in some embodiments, one to 100,000 head of livestock, or more, can be accommodated 'and/or milked (if applicable) in the present structures.
Abstract:
A ventilation tube is adapted to be positioned in a window for ventilation of an interior space of said window. An insect filter is moulded integrally with said ventilation tube and positioned at one end of said ventilation tube such as to prevent insects from entering said ventilation tube from said one end. There is further described a window with a dome portion and a window portion defining an interior space, a ventilation tube extending from the interior space for ventilatin said space.
Abstract:
An assembly with a ventilation arrangement for securing an openable aperture closure member (11) in closed position relative to an aperture defined by a main frame (12). The assembly further includes a compressible gasket disposed between the closure member (11) and the frame (12) defining the aperture. Each of the aperture closure member (11) and the main frame (12) includes a respective portion (20) of a magnetic means for securing said closure member (11) to the frame (12), wherein said magnetic means for securing includes a two magnetic that are magnetically attracted to one another. One portion is disposed on the openable closure member and thus being adapted to be movable by an operator with the openable closure member alternately into a magnetically attractive closure position and a magnetically unattractive opening position, whilst the other portion is disposed on the main frame. The gasket is at least partially compressed when the closure member (11) is secured to the aperture, and the magnetic locking means (20) overcoming the force needed to compress the gasket.
Abstract:
The roof light system is formed as a base module including a roof unit (10), a light conduit (70) and a diffuser unit (80). Optional elements are adapted to be connected with the base module. Such optional elements include a ventilation device (60). The possibility of interchanging elements of the roof unit and the light conduit of the base module makes it possible to modify the roof light system to a traditional openable window.
Abstract:
Top member arrangement (200) for a roof window (32) comprising an interface module (11) comprising at least one climate regulating device including three lips (15a, b,c) each having a distal free top and a bottom end, which lips extending along the length of an elongate base part (16) and with the distal free tops extending diverging from the elongate base part (16). An inner side of two of the lips are adapted to sealing engagement with a sash profile (30) of the roof window (32) in a closed position. The interface module (11) further comprises an end part (50) provided at one or both end(s) of the elongate base part (16), which is/are integrally formed with the elongate base part (16) and three lips (15a, b,c). The interface module thus constitutes one piece.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A frame for a window intended to serve either as a stationary frame or as a sash frame according to the invention comprises an insulating abutment list on aside surface of at least one of the top, bottom or side members intended to face a side surface of another frame of the window. The insulating abutment list is made from a material having a thermal conductivity of less than 0,08 W/(m•K), preferably less than 0,04 W/(m•K). Preferred materials for the insulating abutment list are expanded polystyrene (EPS) or extruded polystyrene (XPS). In a window with such a frame, an insulating abutment list on the sash frame preferably extends from a hinge part to the bottom member of the sash frame and an insulating abutment list on the stationary frame preferably extends from a hinge part to the top member of the stationary frame.
