Abstract:
A sunlight redirector has a first mirror array formed of a first plurality of substantially parallel, uniformly spaced, longitudinal outward mirror segments; and a second mirror array formed of a second plurality of substantially parallel, uniformly spaced, longitudinal inward mirror segments. Each mirror segment has a normal vector. The outward mirror segments are adjustably positionable, such that their normal vectors remain parallel. The first mirror array is rotatable about a normal vector of the sunlight redirector. The inward mirror segments may remain fixed in position at all times; or they may be moved, twice per day, between first and second fixed positions.
Abstract:
The roof window (1) comprises a frame (2) with a top member (5), a bottom member (6) and two side members (7, 8), and a sash (3) having a top member (9), a bottom member (10) and two side members (11, 12), the sash (3) holding a pane (4) and a glass rim profile (102) being provided on each side sash member (11, 12). The roof window (1) further comprises a covering (201, 217) including a sash striking bead covering (201) and a frame striking bead covering (217). The sash striking bead covering (201) and the frame striking bead covering (217) each forms a labyrinth seal with the glass rim profile (102).
Abstract:
The roof window (1) comprises a frame (2) with a top member (5), a bottom member (6) and two side members (7, 8), the roof window (1) further comprising a covering (237, 270) including a bottom frame covering (237) adapted to be mounted on the frame bottom member (6) and a side frame covering (270) adapted to be mounted on the frame side member (7). The bottom frame covering (237) is provided with a fitting set (239, 245) adapted to be connected to the frame side member (7) and to the side frame covering (270). In particular, the fitting set comprises an angle bracket (239) and an intermediate member (245).
Abstract:
A frame for a window intended to serve either as a stationary frame or as a sash frame according to the invention comprises an insulating abutment list on aside surface of at least one of the top, bottom or side members intended to face a side surface of another frame of the window. The insulating abutment list is made from a material having a thermal conductivity of less than 0,08 W/(m•K), preferably less than 0,04 W/(m•K). Preferred materials for the insulating abutment list are expanded polystyrene (EPS) or extruded polystyrene (XPS). In a window with such a frame, an insulating abutment list on the sash frame preferably extends from a hinge part to the bottom member of the sash frame and an insulating abutment list on the stationary frame preferably extends from a hinge part to the top member of the stationary frame.
Abstract:
A roof window (1) comprising a frame (2) with a top member (5), a bottom member (6) and two side members (7, 8) defining a frame plane, and a sash (3) having a top member (9), a bottom member (10) and two side members (11, 12) defining a sash plane, the sash (3) carrying a pane (4), the window (1) further comprising in connection with said bottom sash member (10) a bottom sash covering (319), wherein the roof window (1) furthermore comprises an insulating element (303) and preferably also a bottom sash gasket 310 adapted for insulating of the transition between the bottom sash member (10) and the bottom sash covering (319).
Abstract:
Provided herein is a curb-mounted skylight having a rigid plastic curb frame, a mechanism for firmly securing the curb frame to an opening in a building, a transparent or translucent covering element, and a mechanism for retaining the covering element on the frame. The curb frame includes a fixed base frame (having an interior frame and a counter-flashing element) and a moveable sash frame (having an accessory shelf and a sash). The base frame and the sash frame may be connected to one another by a first hinge member integral with the counter-flashing element and a cooperative and complementary-shaped second hinge member attached to the sash. The hinge members form a watertight seal and may be disengaged to permit the sash to be removed from the skylight assembly during installation, if so desired. Because the frame and hinge components are made of plastic, the skylight assembly is relatively lightweight.
Abstract:
Cladding support (1) comprising a first portion (2) adapted for engagement with a cladding element, and a second portion (3) having a first side (4) adapted for engagement with a window frame element and a second side (5) facing away from the frame element in the mounted state of the cladding support (1) comprises a wire holding means provided at said second side (5).
Abstract:
An electrical operator device for opening and closing a window comprises a case (6) connected with the main frame structure and a push element (12) extending from there in the direction of the frame. The operator device is disengageably connected with an operating member (4) for a locking mechanism, which operating member is pivotally mounted on the frame, by means of a coupling device comprising a male part having a head portion (20) connected with the free end of the push element, for disengageable engagement with a female part with a recess (22), in connection with an insertion opening (21), mounted on the operating member (4). The head portion (20) of the male part and the recess and opening (21) of the female part are elaborated and adapted to each other in such a way that the head portion (20), in a position of the pivotal operating member (4) corresponding to activation of the locking mechanism when the window is closed, can be guided into and out of the opening, but in a swung-out position of the operating member (4)in relation thereto, corresponding to a release of the locking mechanism, is prevented from passing out through the insertion opening. The operator device is controlled in such a way that in the first mentioned position, the male part is disengaged from the female part.
Abstract:
A counterbalanced window operator includes a rotatable drive member operatively connected to the pivoting end of the window by means of an arm member (29). A spring (40) occupying a fixed orientation is operatively connected to the arm member (29) to counterbalance the torque transmitted from the window to the arm member (29). In a preferred embodiment, double scissors arm members (250a and 250b) include a pair of first arm members (251a and 251b) that define a first plane and a pair of second arm members (252a and 252b) that define a second plane at an oblique angle relative to the first plane when the window is in an open position.
