Abstract:
The invention relates to a screw device (1) for fixing insulating panels together. The screw (1) is made in one piece from synthetic material and comprises a head (2) and a shank (3). The head (2) comprises a flat surface (4) for abutment on one of the said insulating panels, a surface (5) opposite the abutment surface (4), provided with at least one drive wing (6). The wing (6) extends to a selected distance A from the opposite surface (5), said distance A being more than 10 mm. The shank (3) comprises an elongate body (7) extending from the head (2) and substantially perpendicular to the abutment surface (4). The screw (1) comprises a point (8) arranged at an end of the body (7) opposite the head (2), and at least one helical thread (9). The helical thread 9 extends at least over part of at least one of the point (8) and the body (7), and is spaced from the head (2). The helical thread (9) has a diameter (H) that increases towards the head (2), the helical thread (9) comprising a portion having a frustum-shaped envelope (18), the pitch (P) of the helical thread (9) being greater than 8 mm.
Abstract:
An adjustable mounting assembly (70a/70b) for installing solar cell modules (58) on a building surface (34) is disclosed. The mounting assembly (70a/70b) includes a mounting device (74), a stud (114) that may be threaded to the mounting device (74), a clamping member (142) that may be positioned on the stud (114), and a nut (128) that may be threaded onto the stud (114) to secure the clamping member (142) to the mounting device (74). A nut (126) is fixed to the stud (114) at an intermediate location along its length. This fixed nut (126) may be used to tighten the stud (114) to a mounting device (74), and furthermore may be positioned such that the stud (114) does not extend into a slot (90) of the mounting device (74).
Abstract:
A multi elements support for facework of ventilated walls is composed of a movable plate (1) for lower anchorage, a movable plate (2) for upper anchorage and a base plate (3) for connection to the uprights (4, 41) and/or crosspieces (4") of the framework. These elements may be assembled together, position- adjusted to the right opening and closing position for support and connection of the facework components (12) and are self -locking.
Abstract:
A wall structure (10, 110) and method of construction. The wall structure (10, 110) comprises a plurality of preformed, lightweight blocks (12, 112) supported and interconnected by a plurality of elongated, vertically oriented, collateral support beams (16, 116). Preferably, the support beams (16, 116) are operatively connected to an appropriate substructure (62, 100) and the lightweight blocks (12, 112) are operatively connected to the support beams (16, 116). The blocks (12, 112) and support beams (16, 116) are configured so that when they are connected to each other, a space is formed between the wall structure (10, 110) and the substructure (62, 100). Thus, an assembled wall structure (10) may be setoff from a substructure and the substructure (62, 100) may be used for other purposes.
Abstract:
A securing system is disclosed for the securing of slab elements such as slate plates or metal slabs to mainly plane surfaces, said securing system comprising a mainly horizontal (6) and optionally a mainly vertical (1) securing rail, where the cross section of the rails is mainly u-formed, and where to the horizontal securing rail there may be attached at least one brace (11) substantially designed with a u-shaped and with a backwards bent section at its ends to fit over the short leg (8) of the securing rail. The u-formed brace (11) carries the slab element (17) in the securing system. Further, the system comprises at least a mainly s-formed brace (14) which may be secured to the second leg (8) of the horizontal securing rail (6) as an upper support for the slab element (17). The system also preferably comprises a resilient element (19) which may also be secured to the second leg (8) of the securing rail (6), and which presses the slab element (17) against the securing braces (11, 14).
Abstract:
Abstract:
A mortarless wall structure (10) comprising a plurality of preformed, stackable blocks (12, 112, 160, 312) with the blocks operatively connected to each other by a plurality of elongated, vertically oriented, support beams (16, 116, 270, 287). The blocks may include one or more channels (140, 142a, 142b, and 144) that are configured and arranged to intercept moisture traversing from the front surface (120) toward the rear face (122) of the block, and to direct the moisture in a predetermined direction that does not intersect the rear face. The wall (10) may be freestanding or operatively connected to a suitable support structure by one or more brackets (18, 19, 200, 230). When used in conjunction with a support structure, the wall may be provided with a sealing element (250) that prevents moisture and debris from being introduced between the wall and the support structure.
Abstract:
