Abstract:
The present invention relates to an electronic advertising medium placed in public spaces. Disclosed is a method whereby the public can voluntarily approach "advertising media", aiming at a system able to minimise "distance" between advertising media and people. A display area on the electronic advertising medium of the present invention comprises: a first advertising area which is not computerised; a second advertising area which comprises a touchscreen and is computerised; and a VoIP public telephone area which is partitioned off as an area which is independent from the advertising areas.
Abstract:
An information booth for pedestrians includes a body; a frame provided on sides of the body, the frame supporting a guideboard posted thereon! air inlets formed in the lower portion of the sides of the body, the bottom of the body or the circumference of the bottom of the body; a hydroxyl radical generator provided inside the body to generate air-cleaning hydroxyl radicals by photocatalystic reaction; and air outlets for exhausting the hydroxyl radicals, generated by the hydroxyl radical generator.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a portable vocal booth (1) comprising a hood (2) that comprises a top (3), side walls (6), a front wall (4) and a rear portion (5) and is adapted to freely enclose a singer's head. The hood (2) comprises a rear part (R), which is intended to accommodate the singer's head and is open forwards and downwards and otherwise limited by the top (3), the side walls (6) and the rear portion (5), and a front part (F), which is intended to be in front of the singer's head and at the back is open towards the rear part (R) and is otherwise limited by the top (3), the side walls (6), the front wall (4) and a bottom wall (8), wherein a sound absorbing insert (16) is provided in the front part (F) inside the front wall (4). In the front part (F) between the sound absorbing insert (16) and the rear part (R) of the hood (2) a partition wall (17) of a sound absorbing material is arranged, and between the sound absorbing insert (16) and the partition wall (17) a gap (18) is provided.
Abstract:
Techniques and apparatus for securing a structure to a support are described. A mounting device may releasably secure a structure to a support. The mounting device may include a first plate, a second plate proximate the first plate, and at least one frangible connection securing the first plate to the second plate. The frangible connection(s) may be adapted to break in response to application of a shear force or other loading above a predetermined value. The mounting device may further include a retention member connecting the first plate to the second plate. The retention member may be adapted to maintain coupling of the first plate and the second plate after breakage of the frangible connection.
Abstract:
A public telephone powered by a solar panel system and configured to transmit and receive calls over a cellular network is provided. A solar panel systems and wireless unit are retrofitted to conventional public telephones to convert them to wireless operation and to enable operations independent of the electrical grid and from the local telephone exchange.
Abstract:
Variable building construction for buildings with a small number of stories having a foundation, holders for space limiting and space dividing panels, platform and space covering members and the building construction being mounted together from panels by way of detachable connection. For the variable building construction longitudinal beams (1a), cross-beams (1 b) forming frame (1), limiting plates (2) made of non-comburent material on silicate base, connecting groove (4) being formed along the circumference of the panels, slat (7) being inserted into the connecting grooves (4) of the adjacent panels, an upper floor beam (21), a bottom sill (23) and auxiliary connecting members, angle stanchions (13) are provided.
Abstract:
A personal communication structure (PCS) may include a frame, a display housing, and a mounting system coupling the display housing to the frame. The mounting system may include four-bar linkages, each four-bar linkage including two links, first pin joints coupling first ends of the respective links to the frame, and second pin joints coupling second ends of the respective links to the housing. Rotation of the links results in displacement of the housing relative to the frame along an arcuate path. Alternatively or additionally, the PCS may include a temperature control system including a ribbed heat sink and multiple air circulation controllers. The heat sink may be coupled to the PCS frame, adjacent to a back surface of the display housing. A first air circulation controller recirculates air in a cavity within the display housing and a second air circulation controller moves ambient air across the heat sink.
Abstract:
A public telephone installation of the niche type, comprising an upright (1) on a base (3) secured to the ground and a screen (4) including side by side symmetric panels (40, 41) held in their internal edge portions (400, 410) in sandwich fashion on said upright (1) by means of a coating (2) constituted by open section bars destined to be laterally approached to the upright (1) and connected thereto with the interposition of the internal edge portions (400, 410) of the screen panels (40, 41).
Abstract:
Public terminal whose housing is formed by shaft-shaped segments (4, 5, 6) which, form a base plinth (2), extend vertically and, by means of connecting elements (10) extending vertically as well, are connected to one another with the processing units (7) at the rear side and lateral sides being enclosed by the shaft-shaped segments (4, 5, 6). The segments (4, 5, 6) are stably attached to the base plinth (2) by means of tie rods (8) on the one side engaging with the base plinth (2), which extend through the shaft-shaped segments (4, 5, 6), and which on the other side engage with the top side of said segments (4, 5, 6). The shafts formed by the segments (4, 5, 6) may be used, if so desired, for cooling or thermal insulation of the incorporated equipment. The segments (4, 5, 6) are preferably manufactured by means of extrusion.
