Abstract:
A fabric fire rated door is described. The door utilizes a fire resistant fabric curtain with an end lock attachment. A tubular steel shaft is driven by an internal tube motor. The shaft is supported to minimize deflection. Single door shafts can also be joined together with a coupler shaft to create infinitely wide doors. The coupler shaft is spring loaded to act as a take up reel for a coupling curtain which will overlap each adjacent single door shaft. All curtains are attached to the same bottom bar. A hood covers the shaft, curtain, and the supports that run across the width of the door. The curtain travels over these horizontal supports as it drops down through the hood opening. The horizontal supports keep the curtain in position for proper seal during a fire/smoke event.
Abstract:
A flexible yet durable roll-down curtain is normally stored m a rolled condition, and is unrolled during use. The curtain includes plural, vertically spaced apart rods extending through a width of the curtain. When rolled, the curtain wraps around an elongate, spring-loaded mandrel assembly. The mandrel assembly couples with a pair of mounting brackets mounted at opposing sidewalls of a temperature- controlled compartment, A pair of locking brackets disposed directly opposite one another at opposing sidewalls engage opposing ends of a rod extending through the curtain, to retain the curtain in a deployed position. A flexible side seal provides a sealing engagement vertically along each side edge of the curtain. When deployed, the curtain extends from ceiling to floor, and from sidewall to sidewall, forming a barrier against uncontrolled air movement from a space on either side of the curtain to a space on an opposing side of the curtain.
Abstract:
A motorized roller shade includes a shade tube, including an outer surface upon which a shade is attached, an inner surface defining an inner cavity and two end portions, and a motor having an output shaft coupled to a support shaft such that the output shaft and the support shaft do not rotate when the support shaft is attached to a mounting bracket. The motorized roller shade further includes a counterbalancing unit configured to provide a counterbalancing force to the shade, a power supply unit, electrically coupled to the motor, configured to supply power to the motor, and an adaption component including at least one of a length adaptation component and a diameter adaptation component arranged within the shade tube and configured to adapt at least one of the motor and the counterbalancing unit to be used with a larger shade tube.
Abstract:
There is described a slidable self-closing screen assembly which comprises; a roller assembly including a closure biasing means; at least one screen material; at least one rod adapted to be fixed to a display cabinet and connected to the at least one screen material the at least one rod being inclined away from the longitudinal axis of the screen towards an open position; and a lateral screen retaining strip said retaining strip being provided with biasing means connecting the retaining strip to one or more units adapted to slidably engage with the at least one rod, wherein the biasing means is substantially perpendicular to the at least one rod; and wherein the rod biasing means is under tension when the screen assembly is in the open position.
Abstract:
There is described a slidable screen assembly (1) which comprises a pair of screens (2, 3) wherein each screen is connected to a roller biasing the screen to an open position, the roller being operably connected to a closing mechanism (8a, 8b) provided that a proximal end of a first screen in the pair of screens is inelastically operably linked to a proximal end of a second screen in the pair of screens, so as to restrict the extent of opening.
Abstract:
A counterbalance system for a rollup door system having a drum in which the counterbalance provides a counter force acting at a distance from the center of rotation of the drum. The counter force is variable in both direction and magnitude at various angular positions of the drum.
Abstract:

Abstract:
A high load operation industrial roll door, including a flexible door curtain windable about a top roll positioned above a door opening and provided with a drive system. The roll door includes a bottom beam fastened to the door curtain, and a biasing spring, for resisting movement of the door upon application of a load thereon, and a positive stop preventing movement of the biasing means beyond a predetermined point.
