The rod extends though the pressure shell and seals to the ends of the shell. A third generally cylindrical mid section is positioned 10 between the first end and the second end. Also disclosed is a "stacked" accumulator system. The system stores energy when the accumulators deform from their original shape in response to the flow of a pressurized fluid.
