The invention relates to an auxiliary device (100) for repairing a pipeline and sealing small damages (5) in a wall (4) of a pipeline. A working room (8) can be created between the interior of the pipeline (3) and the outer circumference of the base element (22) when the auxiliary device (100) for repairing a pipeline is pushed into a pipeline. The working room (8) can be sealed in the axial direction of the pipeline (3) and in a jointing manner by means of the expanding sealing collars (24, 25). Said auxiliary device (100) is provided with a transport module (40) that is articulated to the sealing module (20). The device can be transported through the fluid flow by means of the transport module (40).

Korrodierte Hohlprofile, insbesondere von orthotropen Platten, werden an der Innenfläche mit einem kontinuierlich durch das Hohlprofil geführten rotierenden und entsprechend dem jeweiligen Innenflächenbereich tastergesteuert winkelverstellbaren und in kritischen Bereichen drosselbaren Höchstdruck-Wasserstrahl gereinigt und entrostet. Zur Abdichtung gegen eindringende Feuchtigkeit und zum Korrosionsschutz sowie zur Verbesserung des Schwingungsverhaltens und der Festigkeitseigenschaften der orthotropen Platte wird die gereinigte und getrocknete Innenfläche mittels eines Klebers und unter der Wirkung eines Druckmediums mit einem mit wasserdichtem Kunststoff beschichteten form- und dehnbaren Gewebeschlauch oder einem unter Wärmeeinwirkung seine Ursprungsform einnehmenden Memory-Kunststoffhohlprofil voll flächig abdichtend verbunden, wobei der Innendruck bis zum Aushärten des Klebers aufrechterhalten bleibt.

The invention provides that where a main underground pipeline or passageway (10) is lined by means of a lining tube which extends over the connection of a lateral pipe (12) with the main pipeline or passageway (10), the said lateral connection can be readily located and the lining tube (44) cut to re-establish the connection, if a means (42), such as a steel ball or a deposit, which is radiation detectable, is placed on the surface of the pipeline or passageway (10) at a predetermined distance (77) from the said lateral connection.

A method and means for repairing the junction (60) of a main (56) and lateral (58) pipe are provided. A repair assembly (10) includes a launcher device (12), a bladder assembly (22) surrounding the launcher device (12), and a liner assembly (32) surrounding the bladder assembly (22). The bladder assembly (22) is frangibly connected to the launcher device (12) to maintain the position of the bladder assembly (22) relative to the launcher device (12) during transport and positioning of the assembly. Likewise, the liner assembly (32), which includes main (34) and lateral liner members (36), is frangibly connected to the bladder assembly (22). The frangible connections allow the position of the repair assembly (10) to be maintained. The frangible connections can be broken, such as by inflation and/or tearing or pulling apart of the components of the repair assembly (10). Thus, the invention provides a way to mitigate the movement of components of the repair assembly (10) during transport and positioning of the repair assembly (10).

The radial position controller supplies fluid under pressure to a radial positioning arrangement (46) to set diameter of a relined pipe. The radial position controller has a first normally closed valve (83) supplying fluid under pressure to the radial positioning arrangement (46) and a second normally open valve (84) allowing fluid to be withdrawn from the radial positioning arrangement (46). The arrangement (66) allows the pipe relining machine to be withdrawn in the event of a failure.

A pipe repair apparatus and method of repairing a main pipe and a lateral pipe is provided. The apparatus includes a packer assembly having a main bladder body with a cylindrical shape extending radially from and along the first axis for inflating in the main pipe. The packer assembly also has a lateral bladder body with a cylindrical shape extending radially from and along a second axis transverse to the first axis for inflating in the lateral pipe. A main liner is disposed about the main bladder body for adhering to the inner surface of the main pipe to repair the main pipe in response to the main bladder body being inflated. Similarly, a lateral liner is disposed about the lateral bladder body for adhering to the inside surface of the lateral pipe to repair the lateral pipe in response to the lateral bladder body being inflated.

A method, apparatus and inner pipe for renovating a pipe (1) or conduit makes it possible to deliver a filling material/multi-component resin (15) in a targeted manner to the place of use. This is provided by shaping the inner pipe (5) into the form of a trough before introducing it into the pipe section (3) to be renovated. The quantity of filling material/multi- component resin (15) is preferably selected while charging the trough (16), preferably via the pipe-charging connecting piece (26), so that the required quantity is provided at the point of use in order to fill the intervening space (14) and any cavities (11, 12). This precisely targeted filling process is provided by carrying out the reverse deformation of the trough-shaped inner pipe (5).
