Abstract:
A train loading system for loading material onto cars of a train is disclosed. The system comprises a material bin arranged to receive material to be loaded onto the train, a closure device arranged to facilitate control by an operator of the amount of material loaded into each car from the material bin, and a car mass estimator arranged to estimate the mass of material loaded into each car. The system also comprises a display arranged to communicate to the operator the estimated mass of material loaded into each car. A corresponding method is also disclosed.
Abstract:
Abstract:
Methods, apparatus, and systems are described for managing logistics information related to a container using a container interface display apparatus. The container interface display apparatus may comprise a mountable housing, a display screen, a memory, a scanner, and a wireless communication interface. The housing is coupled to the container to permit the scanner to identify an item being loaded for shipment within the container. The scanner identifies the item, and the apparatus records an association in memory as part of managed logistics information that reflects an established and tracked relationship between the container and the item. The apparatus increments package count information (another part of the managed logistics information) to reflect that the item is loaded within the container. The apparatus generates electronic logistics monitor information on the display screen to include at least a portion of the managed logistics information related to the container.
Abstract:
There is herein described apparatus capable of measuring load and load movement. More particularly, there is described apparatus capable of measuring both load and load movement using at least one sensor located between an upper and lower floor structure.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for configuring the interaction between a balance and input and output devices communicating therewith, comprising a user module for controlling the output devices and interrogating input devices, wherein the interaction functionalities of the balance are defined by the user module. The profile module is automatically coupled to the user module depending data received by the user module. The invention further relates to a balance wherein the above method is used.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A novel type of weighing aid characterized in that during weighing the operator does not need to look at the scale of the balance but can concentrate entirely on the weighing process itself. Acoustic signals inform the operator of the instantaneous weight. As the operator is continuously informed of the weight by audible signals whose pitch and loudness are proportional to the instantaneous weight, he can devote his full attention to the weighing process. A major advantage of the novel weighing aid is that when weighing a liquid, for example, that must be added dropwise, the weighing process need not be interrupted in order to read the weight after each addition. Routine weighing measurements are appreciably simplified by the invention.
