Abstract:
A virtual input device using a projector and a method for receiving a user input using the same are provided. The virtual input device includes a first sensor configured to detect at least one user hand, a processor configured to determine a virtual input layout to project based on the detected at least one user hand, a projector configured to optically project the determined virtual input layout on a user input plane, and a second sensor configured to detect a user input through the projected virtual input layout.
Abstract:
Described herein are personal electronics device mounting assemblies including a passenger seat and a case assembly comprising a case configured to receive a personal electronic device and a male structure pivotally coupled to the case. The personal electronic device mounting assemblies may also include a mounting assembly comprising a female slot structure and a support bracket structure, the female slot structure may be configured to releasably receive the male structure and the support bracket structure may be configured to attach to the passenger seat. The mounting assembly may be configured to provide support to the case when the male structure is in an extended position and the female slot structure has received the male structure.
Abstract:
Disclosed are an input method, apparatus and terminal. The method comprises: displaying a virtual three-dimensional keyboard outside a terminal; detecting the input of key-press on the virtual three-dimensional keyboard; determining a key-press value according to the input of the key-press, and displaying the key-press value on a screen of the terminal. By means of the present invention, the keyboard is displayed at one side of the terminal in a three-dimensional virtual mode, and the space on the screen of the terminal is occupied, and convenience is provided for a user to search the content displayed on the terminal screen; the user can click the key-press of the virtual three-dimensional keyboard, and the terminal can determine the press of the key-press and determine the key-press value, therefore, a text can be quickly and conveniently input; and moreover, the user can define the dimensions of the virtual three-dimensional keyboard and the spacing among the key-presses, so that the probability of error touch can be reduced to some extent.
Abstract:
Some embodiments of the present invention provide an adapter including one or more electronic components contained within a housing for attachment to eyewear. The housing may include a main body extending in a lengthwise direction, the main body having a front section and a rear section defining opposite ends thereof and a middle section disposed between and connecting the front section and the rear- section, and an attachment portion protruding from the main body in a widthwise direction, the attachment portion configured to connect to a portion of a temple of an eyewear frame, ' wherein a width of the main body decreases from the middle section toward a front end of the front section.
Abstract:
Embodiments of an apparatus and system are described for a hybrid computing device. Some embodiments may comprise a computing device having an enclosure arranged to support a display on a front of the enclosure, a projector adjustment ring integrated into a portion of the perimeter of the enclosure, and a projector module adjustably coupled to the projector adjustment ring. In various embodiments, the projector module may be arranged for dual-axis rotation within the projector adjustment ring. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for modifying virtual keyboards is disclosed. An electronic device displays (705) a first virtual keyboard on a user interface. The electronic device detects (710) a selection of the first virtual keyboard and identifies (715) a user interaction with the first virtual keyboard. The user interaction can be a drag-and-drop resizing, a multiplicative selection of the user interface, or other gestures. After identifying a location associated with the user interaction, the electronic device determines (735, 750, 760) a second virtual keyboard of a different type than the first virtual keyboard based on the location and displays (740, 765) the second virtual keyboard on the user interface.
Abstract:
A magnetic attachment mechanism and method is described. The magnetic attachment mechanism can be used to releasably attach at least two objects together in a preferred configuration without fasteners and without external intervention. The magnetic attachment mechanism can be used to releasably attach an accessory device to an electronic device. The accessory device can be used to augment the functionality of usefulness of the electronic device.
Abstract:
This disclosure concerns an interactive head-mounted eyepiece including an optical assembly through which the user views a surrounding environment and displayed content. The displayed content includes a local advertisement, wherein the location of the eyepiece is determined by an integrated location sensor and wherein the local advertisement has a relevance to the location of the eyepiece. The head mounted eyepiece may also include an audio device and the displayed content may comprise local advertisements and audio.
Abstract:
A light-generated input interface is provided using a combination of components that include a projector and a sensor. The projector displays an image corresponding to an input device. The sensor can be used to detect selection of input based on contact by a user-controlled object with displayed regions of the projected input device. An intersection of a projection area and an active sensor area on a surface where the input device is to be displayed is used to set a dimension of an image of the input device.
