Abstract:
A healthcare patient application (112) is configured to interface with healthcare provider's electronic medical records (EMR) systems (114, 120, 126, 128) to send/receive to/from healthcare provider's EMR systems patient medical records using a standardized clinical document that is transmitted by the healthcare provider (110, 122, 130, and 124) to a patient application or by the patient (118) to the healthcare provider application and EMR systems. The healthcare provider may approve some or all of the standardized clinical document for integration with their EMR system. Likewise, the patient may approve some or all of the standardized clinical document for integration with the patient's electronic personal health record (E-PHR), the E-PRH being a compilation of the patient's received EMR from one or more healthcare providers. Similarly, the patient may select some of all of the E-PHR for transmission to one or more healthcare provider applications and EMR systems.
Abstract:
Various embodiments implement a multiplatform system architected to provide secure messaging between a plurality of disparate systems (e.g., mobile devices, secure cloud systems, remote locations, health monitoring devices, fitness centers, etc.), co-ordinate resources associated with each of the disparate systems, manage communication between proprietary applications via customized application programming interfaces (APIs) and manage reservation of resources of the disparate systems via the APIs. Further embodiments enable an extensible system architecture to incorporate additional systems. In some embodiments, the system includes a multi-layered database architecture to mediate information and access control (e.g., based on inheritable privileges, specific user classes are allowed or denied access to data in the database). In further embodiments, the data architecture is architected with access layers that ensure compliance with regulatory systems governing health data.
Abstract:
A patient matching system receives a match request from a patient device, indicating that the patient desires to be matched with a provider of medical services. The patient matching system determines one or more matching providers based on patient information and provider information. The patient matching system may rank the matching providers based on the strength of the match. The patient matching system may request confirmation by a matched provider, and upon confirmation, the patient matching system may send a match notification to the requesting patient.
Abstract:
Apparatus and methods for generating, displaying, and updating information, such as aggregated information or content, provide engagement techniques, delivering new experiences to an audience, viewer, visitor, customer, etc. Applications prepare information, such as pricing, to present or display on display devices, signage, etc. A platform manages the display devices and the content on the display devices to engage the audience. The display devices are low-powered, may be ePaper-based, and have minimum circuitry and reduced resource requirements. Information and control signals may be transferred to, and power and ground established with, the display devices via transient electrical and frictional mechanisms. Changes made in information presented may depend on the needs or relevancy to the audience or the needs or desires of a content provider, business or, organization, presenter, etc. Updates or format/layout changes for presenting the content may be based on the efficacy of content previously presented.

Abstract:
A method for treating dialysate solutions used in dialysis wherein dialysate is treated in an early part of a dialysis treatment session by external infusion of bicarbonate solution into the dialysate circuit to eliminate the need for bicarbonate requirements in concentrates used for preparation of precursor dialysate (priming) solutions and/or for a solid bicarbonate layer in a sorbent cartridge. Dialysate is treated in a latter part of a dialysis treatment session by introduction of sterile dilution water to reduce sodium concentration in the dialysate. The method provides a more efficient and reduced use of dialysate fluids, electrolytes, sorbent cartridge materials, equipment scale, or any combinations of these, while maintaining purity standards and applicable physiological ranges for bicarbonate, sodium, and other dialysate solution components over the course of a dialysis treatment session.
Abstract:
Contextual data can be received comprising identification of a medical procedure and a video feed of the medical procedure. Portions of the video feed containing material to-be-censored can be identified. Data for creating a censored video can be generated, the data generated based on the contextual data of the medical procedure and content of the video feed. Related apparatus, systems, techniques, and articles are also described.
Abstract:
Techniques are provided whereby a clarification request may be generated with a clinical documentation improvement (CDI) system for resolution by a clinician, and notification of the clarification request may be transmitted to a medical coding system. At a medical coding system, notification may be received of a clarification request generated at a CDI system for resolution by a clinician. In some embodiments, the medical coding system may be a computer-assisted coding (CAC) system.
Abstract:
Some embodiments include a system and computer-implemented method for aggregating and tracking medical delivery to a patient including a non-transitory computer- readable medium in data communication with at least one processor, where the non-transitory computer-readable medium includes software instructions for a medical services tracking system and method. Upon execution of the software instructions, information from a patient database or server can be received and displayed a medical record dashboard. A user can view and edit access to the information, and a user selectable link can display medical record information. The system and method enable auto-population of medical data entry fields based at least one part on at least one claim made or billing signed off by a physician for at least one medical service or procedure previously provided to or performed on at least one patient.
Abstract:
An automated method is provided for recording contents of medication packages vended from a plurality of vending machines in electronic records, such as an electronic medication administration record (eMAR), that store records for a plurality of patients who are associated with respective vending machines. A vending event causes the electronic record to be populated. The contents of the medication packages vended from the vending machines are recorded in electronic records without communicating patient names or vended medications in the electronic message sent from the vending machines.
