Abstract:
A glazing comprising a spring contact and a busbar and a solder layer between them is disclosed. The solder layer may be applied either to the spring contact or to the busbar before making an electrical connection between them. Alternatively, the solder layer may be applied during curing of an adhesive, which bonds the spring contact to a ply of glazing material. The spring contact comprises a bent portion and a base portion, and the bent portion is biased against the busbar by elastic force of the bent portion. If fretting wear or chemical corrosion causes a hotspot, then low melting point solder partly melts and flows to eliminate the hotspot. Therefore the connector has a self-healing function.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a vertical contact-type connector, and more particularly, to a connector for interconnecting an antenna and a feed circuit on a main board of a terminal, wherein said connector comprises: a contact pin mounted on the surface of the main board; and a cylindrical resilient body which has an inwardly curved shape for accommodating the contact pin, and one end of which is electrically connected to the antenna. Thus, the present invention provides said vertical contact-type connector having the contact pin which vertically interconnects the antenna and the main board of the terminal, and the cylindrical resilient body, to reduce electromagnetic interferences between the connector and peripheral components of the antenna, and to maintain a stable contact structure between the antenna and the main board of the terminal. Further, the present invention has an effect of providing the vertical contact-type connector in which a portion of the surface of the contact pin is coated with an insulating material having a permittivity, and the cylindrical resilient body and the contact pin are coupled together to improve the characteristics of the antenna.
Abstract:
A connector for a DMB antenna comprises an antenna connector and a coaxial connector. The antenna connector includes an antenna coupling unit at one end thereof as well as a cylindrical guide unit, which includes connector pins protruding from the center, at the other end thereof. The cylindrical guide unit is coupled to a coaxial connector by sliding into the inside of the circumference thereof. The cylindrical guide unit comprises plural elastic portions between each of which a gap is placed. Convex stopper protrusions are formed at the end portion of the guide unit. A jack to which a connector pin is connected is placed in the center of the coaxial connector, and the coaxial connector includes stopping grooves into which the stopper protrusions are inserted. An insulating ring for preventing rotation made of a plastic ULTEM material is placed between the cylindrical guide unit and the antenna coupling unit. Since the insulating ring is extended between the cylindrical guide unit and the connector pin, a protecting tube for a jack which encloses the connector pin is formed. A jack insertion groove into which an insulation supporting tube is inserted is formed inside the circumference of the protecting tube. Right and left concave insertion portions which are cut in an arc shape are additionally prepared at both sides in the rear portion of the cylindrical guide unit. The jack is enclosed by the insulation supporting tube, and then inserted into the jack insertion groove. Since left and right convex insertion parts formed inside the circumference of the coaxial connector are coupled with the left and right concave insertion parts, the rotation of the guide unit can be prevented. In this invention, the concave and convex insertion parts, which are coupled by their matching shapes, are formed inside the circumferences of both the coaxial connector and the cylindrical guide unit without an additional component. Therefore, the manufacturing cost can be saved. The insulating ring for preventing rotation, which is used as both an insulating member and an anti-rotation member between the connector pin and the antenna connector, is made of a plastic ULTEM which is extremely hard and very resistant against thermal shrinkage or thermal expansion. Hence, there is no inconvenience in the usage, and the durability of the connector can be extended. Furthermore, noise can be reduced since the antenna is not shaken. Thereby a clearer image can be reproduced on a screen.
