본 개시는 LTE와 같은 4G 통신 시스템 이후 보다 높은 데이터 전송률을 지원하기 위한 5G 또는 pre-5G 통신 시스템에 관련된 것이다. 본 발명은 랭크 관련 정보를 결정하기 위한 방법 및 장치에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에 따른 단말의 방법은, 상기 단말의 성능 정보를 포함한 단말 성능 정보 메시지를 기지국에 전송하는 단계, 상기 기지국으로부터 설정 메시지를 수신하는 단계; 및 상기 설정 메시지에 레이어 관련 정보가 포함되어 있는지 여부에 기반하여 랭크 관련 정보를 결정하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.

An antenna arrangement configured for digital beam-forming of a transmit signal comprising; a number N>1 of digital to analog converters, DACs, each of the N DACs being arranged to receive one respective digital transmit signal component, and to convert and output an analog transmit signal component, each of the N DACs having a respective resolution below a resolution required to fulfill a regulatory radio requirement in an interchangeable antenna arrangement arranged for transmission by a single antenna element connected to a single DAC; and N antenna elements, each of the N antenna elements being configured to receive one respective analog transmit signal component and to transmit the analog transmit signal component as part of the digitally beam-formed transmit signal.
Abstract:
Systems and methods provide channel state information feedback in a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system. A method quantizes a pre-coding matrix indicator (PMI) and feeds it back from a user equipment (UE) to an evolved Node B (eNodeB). The method may use codebooks for vector quantization of optimal horizontal direction and a scalar quantizer to quantize an optimal vertical direction from the eNodeB to a selected UE.

The invention relates to a method which includes, for each group of a set of groups of transmitter/receiver pairs (Ck): the pairs of the group executing an iterative technique of interference alignment during II iterations on signals transmitted by the group; each transmitter (Ek) of the group consecutively sending a drive signal pre-coded by a matrix resulting from said execution; each receiver (Rk) assessing the group of a metric representing a distance between a vector subspace generated by the drive signal with which said receiver forms a pair and a vector subspace generated by interferences determined according to drive signals transmitted by the other transmitters; a central processing unit (UC) calculating an overall metric for each group in accordance with the metrics of the receivers of the group; and the central processing unit selecting one group from among the assembly that optimises the overall metric.

본 발명에서는 무선 접속 시스템에서 하향링크 빔 포밍(beamforming)을 수행하는 방법 및 이를 위한 장치가 개시된다. 구체적으로, 기지국이 전체 안테나 중에서 제1 안테나 세트만을 통해 단말에게 참조 신호를 전송하는 단계, 기지국이 단말로부터 제1 안테나 세트에 대한 채널 상태 정보(CSI: Channel State Information)을 수신하는 단계 및 기지국이 전체 안테나에 대한 프리코딩 행렬을 이용하여 하향링크 채널을 빔포밍하여 단말에 전송하는 단계를 포함하고, 전체 안테나 중 참조 신호를 전송하지 않은 제2 안테나 세트에 대한 CSI 는 제1 안테나 세트에 대한 CSI를 이용하여 산출될 수 있다.
Abstract:
Interference alignment for a multiple-input multiple-output communications network with partial connectivity is provided. A method is provided that includes determining assignments for data streams transmitted in the multiple-input multiple-output communications network. The method also includes suppressing inter-cell interference and suppressing intra-cell interference. Also provided is inter-cell/intra-cell decomposition and exploitation of partial connectivity in a multiple-input multiple-output communications network. The multiple-input multiple-output communications network can comprise three or more cells.

Method and arrangement for determining at least one phase affecting error related to transmission from at least one pair of correlated antennas. The method involves transmitting (1002) reference signals from the correlated antennas in the at least one pair, in a set of frequency bands, wherein a number of controlled phase differences are introduced between reference signals transmitted from the antennas. The method further involves receiving (1004), in response to the transmitted reference signals, for a number of the controlled phase differences, one or more indications of a selected precoder matrix. Further, the method involves identifying (1006) changes of selected precoder matrix over the number of controlled phase differences, over the set of frequency bands, wherein the identifying is based on the received one or more indications; and determining (1008) at least one relation between the identified changes. Further, at least one phase affecting: error is determined based on said at least one relation. The method and arrangement enable adjustment of transmission from the at leastone pair of correlated antennas, such that said at least one phase affecting error is reduced.
