A method and system for facsimile data transmission via network and a device and method for packaging data. When the volume of data received by a gateway from the PSTN side and buffered arrives at the threshold, the data buffered are packaged and sent, and at the same time the buffer area is cleared. And then, data from the PSTN side are received unceasingly and the volume of data received and buffered is compared with the threshold. When a frame ending signal is received by the gateway, if there is some data buffered in the buffer area, the data in the buffer area are all packaged and sent, and the frame ending signal is also packaged and sent, regardless of whether the volume of data in the buffer area reaches the threshold, and if there is no data buffered in the buffer area, the frame ending signal is packaged and sent directly. By restricting the maximum volume of data carried by a data package and therefore restricting delay caused by packaging the buffered data by the upward gateway, it is guaranteed that the V.21 frame signal data could timely and accurately arrive at a facsimile apparatus of the receiving side during transmission.

A communication system comprising an information processing apparatus and a mobile terminal, wherein when the mobile terminal receives a packet transmitted from the information processing apparatus, it determines whether or not a login condition for transmitting a login request is satisfied based on a received signal strength of the packet, and it transmits the login request to the information processing apparatus in a case where it determines that the login condition is satisfied, and does not transmit the login request to the information processing apparatus in a case where it is determines that the login condition is not satisfied.
Abstract:
Control information on the modem for each address is stored. At the time of communication, the modem used is operated in accordance with the stored control information and a pre-communication procedure is simplified to transmit data. If the simplified pre-communication procedure does not progress normally, the procedure is changed to a second communication procedure with a slower speed after a predetermined lapse of time to continue the communication. If abnormality occurs after the simplified pre-communication procedure, the control information stored in a memory means are erased/updated. Therefore, the time for the pre-communication procedure is shortened and, further, the mounted shortened procedure function always operates properly even if the error rate of the communication is high or the line characteristics are changed.
Abstract:
An improved system for transmitting and receiving digital images includes means for storing portions of an incoming data packet in memory while the data packet is still being received from the data source, and extract the framing characters from the incoming data stream into separate buffers. This allows the next data packet to be requested very quickly due to the ability to perform the data validation testing immediately upon receiving the last character of the packet. This immediate validation feature allows the remaining data of the packet to be processed into memory concurrently with the reception of a new data packet from the data source. This 'semi-concurrent' processing ability of the invention greatly reduces the time required to transfer the image data by reducing the time between the reception of an end-of-line character and the time the logic and control unit can request a new line, and by curtailing the delay between the data request by the invention, and the start of the data packet transmission by the data source.

A facsimile transmission control system has features such that it transmits a calling signal for calling up a receiver facsimile machine; transmits transmission picture data to the receiver facsimile machine, after a control signal indicating transmission function, when it receives a response signal indicating reception function and a reception preparation complete state from the receiver facsimile machine, within a predetermined period of time after the calling signal is transmitted; and transmits a control signal to the receiver facsimile machine when no response signal is received from the receiver facsimile machine within the predetermined period of time.

To be concrete, the modulation mode, communication protocol, MODEM parameters, optimum MODEM training time, etc., set through four communication channels; a communication channel for selecting a modulation mode, communication channel for probing a line, communication channel for training MODEM, and communication channel for setting MODEM parameters are stored at every destination communication equipment and the subsequent communication is performed based on the stored information.
