Disclosed are aspects that send a null data packet (NDP) Feedback Report Poll trigger frame to solicit an uplink buffer status from a plurality of stations. The stations respond via a high-efficiency trigger-based NDP feedback PLCP protocol data unit (HE TB NDP feedback PPDU) indicating their respective buffer status. In some aspects, the NDP Feedback Report Poll trigger frame may be transmitted during a broadcast target wake time service period.
Abstract:
A wireless access point (AP) requests a response from a group of wireless station (STAs) and a STA within the group of STAs provides a response to the request in a resource block (RB). The AP may encode, for transmission, a null data packet (NDP) feedback report poll variant trigger frame including a request and specifying a range of association identifiers (AIDs) associated with STAs scheduled to respond. The STA may decode the trigger frame and determine whether the AID of the STA is within the range of AIDs associated with STAs scheduled to respond to the request. When within the range of scheduled AIDs, the STA may encode an NDP feedback in an RB represented by a resource unit (RU) together with a spatial stream (SS). The AP may receive the NDP feedback report response from the STA and determine the response to the request.

Embodiments of a wireless access point (AP), wireless station (STA), and methods for power management are generally described herein. A STA may contend for a transmission opportunity (TXOP) to obtain access to a channel; encode, for transmission during the TXOP, a frame to modify a power-save poll (PS-Poll) protocol by including a power management (PM) bit set to one; encode the frame to indicate a duration of a sleep period or a pre-determined sleep period; and configure the STA to transmit the frame to one or more APs. An AP may decode a frame from a STA modifying a PS-Poll protocol having a PM bit set to one; and determine a duration of a sleep period of the STA based on information in the frame.

Methods and apparatuses for communicating in a wireless communication network are disclosed. For example, one method includes determining, by a first access point, a polling schedule for communicating with one or more wireless stations on a first wireless communication channel, the polling schedule for a second access point on a second wireless communication channel. The method further includes transmitting, by the first access point, on the first wireless communication channel, transmission information to the one or more wireless stations, wherein the transmission information comprises information for the one or more wireless stations to receive a transmission from the second access point on the second wireless communication channel. The method further includes transmitting, by the first access point, on the first wireless communication channel, one or more packets to at least one of the one or more wireless stations in accordance with the polling schedule.

A method of communication includes generating, at a first device, a traffic advertisement indicating availability of data to be sent by the first device to at least one second device. The method also includes sending the traffic advertisement during an initial portion of a neighbor aware network (NAN) data link (NDL) time block. The method further includes sending first data to the second device during the NDL time block. The first data is sent independently of receiving an acknowledgement (ACK) responsive to the traffic advertisement from the second device.

A method of communication includes generating a control message at a particular device. The control message indicates availability of data to be sent by the particular device. The data includes first data corresponding to a first access category. The method also includes, subsequent to determining that transmission of the control message is to be delayed, determining a first delay based on the first access category. The method further includes sending the control message from the particular device upon expiration of a delay period. The delay period is based on the first delay.

A method includes monitoring, at a first electronic device (e.g. recipient STA of a mesh network) of a data link, a first wireless network during a first paging window corresponding to an active (e.g. awake) operating mode of electronic devices of the data link. The method also includes receiving, at the first electronic device (e.g. recipient STA of a mesh network), a traffic announcement message from a second electronic device (e.g. transmitting STA) of the data link during the first paging window. A data link, or a data link network refers to one or more electronic devices that share a time period corresponding to an active operating mode of the electronic devices (e.g., a paging window) and that have common security credentials (NAN, network aware network).
