Abstract:
The disclosed technology is generally directed to virtual machines. Data associated with a virtual machine configuration request is received. A first virtual machine to be reconfigured is provided. The first virtual machine is booted. The first virtual machine is a system virtual machine, the first virtual machine is re-provisioned into be reconfigured in accordance with the virtual machine configuration request without rebooting the first virtual machine.
Abstract:
Technology for forwarding of packets in an information centric (ICN) local area network is disclosed. A method and apparatus allow for accessing data or services using an ICN name using a dynamic layer 2 address. The method and apparatus access an interest name identifying data available via the ICN and computing a dynamic layer 2 address derived from the interest name identifying the data. The method and apparatus then cause a transfer of the data associated with the interest name between a provider processing device and a consumer processing device responsive to an interest packet identifying the consumer processing device and the provider processing device using the dynamic layer 2 address.
Abstract:
A method for communicating test results from a wireless device under test (DUT) using non-link testing resources. Test data resulting from testing one or more operations of the DUT are combined with other data to form one or more data packets for transmission to a tester. The test data occupies, e.g., via encoding, a portion of the one or more data packets designated for data identifying the DUT or a tester.
Abstract:
There is provided a method comprising: obtaining, by a terminal device, operating with at least one first network and at least one second network, a data packet to be transmitted; determining a required service associated with said data packet, wherein the required service is a service associated with the at least one first network or a service associated with the at least one second network; generating an identifier based at least on the required service; and transmitting said data packet including the generated identifier.
Abstract:
Exemplary embodiments are provided of dedicated short-range communication (DSRC) vehicle management apparatuses, systems and methods. In an exemplary embodiment, DSRC apparatus for a vehicle generally includes a receiver ( e.g. , a global positioning system (GPS) receiver, etc. ) configured to determine a location of the vehicle, a vehicle bus interface coupled to a vehicle bus of the vehicle to obtain diagnostics of the vehicle, and a DSRC wireless interface configured to communicate wirelessly with a vehicle management server. The DSRC wireless interface is configured to obtain vehicle information from the receiver and/or the vehicle bus interface and transmit the obtained vehicle information to the vehicle management server. Also disclosed are exemplary DSRC vehicle management systems including a vehicle management server and multiple DSRC apparatuses coupled to different vehicles, and DSRC vehicle management methods.
Abstract:
Examples include techniques for virtual Ethernet switching of a multi-node fabric. In some examples, first Ethernet links coupled with a group of Ethernet gateways are link aggregated. The group of Ethernet gateways couple with respective individual physical switch ports of a fabric switch of a multi-node fabric to form a default logical gateway to provide an uplink between a virtual Ethernet switch and an Ethernet network external to the multi-node fabric. Also, one or more individual Ethernet gateways coupled with respective individual physical switch ports of the fabric switch may be arranged to provide one or more respective downlinks between the virtual Ethernet switch and one or more Ethernet nodes external to the multi-node fabric via respective second Ethernet links coupled with the one or more individual Ethernet gateways.
Abstract:
An automated process is disclosed for improving the functionality of computer systems and electronic commerce in user identity-proofing. Steps include verifying that a user who is electronically seeking identity proofing is on an electronic directory of persons eligible for such identity proofing; creating an attest list for the user that includes associates who can vouch for his or her identity; collecting a video or other data from the user; sending the video or data to the associates and asking them for a confirmation or a disavowal of the identity of the user; deriving a biometric from the video or data upon receiving the confirmation; and saving the biometric as an identify-proofed biometric.
Abstract:
A device may obtain identification data in the device, wherein the identification data is configured as a hash of a public key for identifying at least one of the device and/or a user associated with the device. An Internet Protocol message may be generated, wherein an IP source address in the IP message includes the identification data. The device may register with a server by transmitting the IP message and the public key and subsequently generate and transmit a second IP message after registering the device, wherein an IP source address of the second IP message includes the identification data. The server may issue a challenge to the device in response to the second IP message, wherein the challenge is based at least in part on the identification data. After receiving the challenge, the device may transmit response data to the server for authenticating the device for secure network communication.
