摘要： An apparatus and method is described for providing a water impenetrable barrier between an underground duct and an access opening. The apparatus is particularly well suited to cover a secondary opening in a containment sump of an underground storage tank or the manway of a sanitary sewer, catch basin or other manhole system. The apparatus includes a lid, inflatable seal and pressurized tank contained within the lid to inflate the seal. When sealed to the access opening, the lid restricts the inflow of water or other debris into the interior of the underground duct and restricts removal of the lid.

摘要： A monitoring and control system having a power input, a power output and a switching unit electrically connected between the power input and the power output. The switching unit has a default on position in which a current path is provided from the power input to the power output and an off position in which no current path is provided. The system includes a power consumption detector configured to detect consumption of power from the power output. In use a timing unit records the time over which the power consumption detector detects power as being consumed from the power output. If a predetermined period of time passes and power is still being consumed a controller switches the switching unit from the default on position to the off position, thereby stopping the flow of current from the power input to the power output.

The recirculating passageway includes a first end connected to and located near or below the bottom surface of the reservoir, and a second end connected to the reservoir above the bottom surface of the reservoir. The water tower further includes a pump located in the recirculating passageway and configured to pump fluid through the recirculating passageway, and a fluid-driven energy generating device fluidly connected to the recirculating passageway. At least a portion of fluid directed through the energy generating device is directed through the recirculating passageway.

摘要： An automatic downspout is taught having an extension (20) which swings, in response to passage of water through the downspout, between a storage position and a position for transport of water. The extension (20) has connected thereto a reservoir (22) for retaining an amount of water from the water passing through the downspout. The weight of the water retained by the reservoir (22) acts to maintain the extension (20) in the lowered position for a selected period of time after the passage of water through the downspout stops. An actuator (44) for such an automatic downspout is also taught.

摘要： Systems for water collection and recycling are described herein. A downspout having a downspout groove is vertically disposed on an exterior wall. Electrical wiring that is operatively connected to at least one electrical power generator is disposed along the downspout groove. The downspout and electrical power generator are supported by downspout brackets. The downspout is fluidly connected to a gutter and an outdoor water storage tank for collecting rain water. A water pump moves grey water from a shower tub drainage pipeline to a water path switch valve. A control switch directs the water path switch valve to divert the grey water to a toilet storage tank, an outdoor water storage tank, or a washing machine water tank.
