Flexible tubular sheet material (10) of polymeric material is supplied to a first position (for instance between rollers 11) in a flat form and is helically cut by blade (18) to form a cut strip that is drawn away by a unit (20). The flat strip is drawn from the first position and is opened to a tubular form and is then drawn over a mandrel (14), where it is cut. Preferably it is inflated by air from a blower (13).

A device at machines for continuous separation of at least one strip (49) from a hose-formed material web (14). The device (19) incorporates at least two lead rollers (16, 18) at least one (18) of which being tiltable relative to the other, thus that the end portion of the material web, which is thread on the guide rollers at rotation of the guide rollers, is imparted a continuous, axial feeding motion towards a severing device (50). The tiltable lead roller (18) is supported at one free end of an axially displaceable and in different displacement positions arrestable rod (20), the free end of which is pivotably to a limited extent on one hand about a shaft (31) mainly parallel with the rod and on the other hand about an axis (44) mainly perpendicular to the rod. This (20) is equipped with means (33, 43) for arresting its free end in different angular positions.

The present invention pertains to a method for the manufacture of a paste composition suitable for the production of an electrode for lead-acid battery, comprising mixing a carbon nanofiller / lead oxide composite of a first particulate size with sulphuric acid, water and further lead oxide of a second particulate size. It also pertains to the paste thus obtained, to the composite used in its manufacture and to the electrode and lead-acid battery obtained from this paste.

Zur Herstellung rotationssymmetrischer Flächen eines Werkstückes (10) wird eine Drehbearbeitung des rotierend angetriebenen Werkstückes (10) durchgeführt. Hierzu wird ein Werkzeug (12) verwendet, dessen Schneide (16) in einer kreisbogenförmigen Vorschubbewegung (f) bewegt wird. Die Schneide (16) hat die Form einer zur Werkzeugrotationsachse (A 1 ) koaxialen Schraubenlinie.
