    Abstract: The invention relates to a device for mechanically processing the top surface of a piece of dough. Said device comprises a pressure cup (6) which is provided with a hollow trough (5) for receiving the piece of dough which is to be processed (3). The piece of dough is placed inside the hollow trough (5) by an input device (2) at an input point (4). At a processing point (9) which is spatially offset in relation to said input point, a tool (20) is arranged in a stand (1) in such a way that it can move up and down so that the piece of dough (3) placed in the hollow trough (5) can be processed. When processed, the pieces of dough (3) are arranged on a support (33) at an output point (40) by the pressure cup (6).
