Abstract: System for moving objects (201,203) by a driving cable (115). The system comprises two cable spools (105,107) enabled to wind and unwind the cable both sides (115a,b). A remote cable pulley (113) is arranged for guiding, at a remote location (X), the cable. The cable spools are arranged to exert, by means of constant torque springs (117,119) a cable pretension force in a direction (T) contrary to the unwinding direction (U) of the spools. Abstract: A Roman blind comprises a panel having a plurality of battens (18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28) attached thereto, each of the battens (18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28) including a rear slot (110), at least one control band (38, 40) extending along a rear surface of the panel, wherein raising a lower end of the at least one control band (38, 40) causes the blind to be raised and lowering a lower end of the at least one control band (38, 40) causes the blind to be lowered, and one or more band guides (34, 36) being mounted in the rear slot of one or more of the battens, wherein the one or more band guides (here, 40) mounted in the rear slot of a batten that is not a lowermost batten is/are mounted for slidable movement within the rear slot so that the one or more band guides float in the rear slot. The position of the band guides is self adjusting. Manufacturing of the blind is consequently less complex.
