摘要: Methods and systems for repositioning teeth of a patient; which employ at least one appliance specific to the patient for placement in the patient's mouth during use. The appliance includes a polymeric shell having a cavity shaped to receive teeth of the upper jaw of the patient. The polymeric shell is integral to a polymeric segment shaped to cover the hard palate of the upper jaw of the patient. The shell is configured such that the appliance adjusts position of the teeth of the upper jaw of the patient during use. The segment is configured such that the appliance adjusts position of the hard palate of the upper jaw of the patient during use. One or more appliances can be configured to contact the teeth of the lower jaw and a mandibular bone portion disposed below the gingiva of the teeth of lower jaw and adjust position of the teeth and the mandibular bone portion of the lower jaw of the patient during use.

摘要: Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein 3D-Druckharz umfassend ein Monomer oder Oligomer, welches mindestens eine Acrylat- oder Methacrylat-Untereinheit aufweist, und einen Initiator. Das 3D-Druckharz ist dadurch charakterisiert, dass es eine gesättigte Fettsäure oder einen Carbonsäureester umfasst, wodurch ein Separationseffekt gegenüber anderen Kunststoffen erzielt wird. Die Erfindung bezieht sich ferner auf ein Polymer, das die oben beschriebenen monomere und Oligomere in polymerisierter Form sowie eine gesättigte Fettsäure oder einen Carbonsäureester aufweist. Werden lediglich 60-80 % der Doppelbindungen des Monomers oder Oligomers umgesetzt, kann ein Grünling erhalten werden. Durch die Erfindung wird auch ein Kit-of-Parts-System bereitgestellt, welches das oben beschriebene 3D-Druckharz zur Herstellung eines Polymers mit Separationseffekt sowie eine Pulver- und eine Flüssigkomponente zur Herstellung eines Kunststoffes umfasst. Schließlich bezieht sich die Erfindung auch noch auf Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Formteils mit Separationseffekt sowie auf ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Formteils, wobei das Formteil komplementär zu einem anderen Formteil ist. Bei letzterem Verfahren wird ein Formteil aus dem oben beschriebenen 3D-Druckharz gefertigt und das andere Formteil aus einem Kunststoff.

At least a portion of the curve includes a microstructured surface (1010B, 10, 1110A, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 810, 840, 910, 940) of utilitarian discontinuities and the microstructured surface (1010B, 10, 1110A, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 810, 840, 910, 940) includes peak structures and adjacent valleys (810, 910). The peak structures and the curve are formed of a single piece of the thermoplastic polymer. A method of making the microstructured articles is also provided including a) obtaining a tool (820, 920) shaped to include at least one of a protrusion or a concavity; b) disposing a microstructured film (800A, 800C, 900) on at least a portion of the tool (820, 920) including the protrusion and/or the concavity; and c) thermoforming a single piece of thermoplastic polymer onto the tool (820, 920) to form a microstructured article (830, 930) shaped to include a curve. The curve is an inverse of the protrusion or the concavity of the tool (820, 920).

摘要: An orthodontic appliance for repositioning a tooth of a dental patient includes: (a) an attachment dimensioned for being attached to the tooth; and (b) an aligner having a cutout having an opening toward gingival side. The aligner and the attachment are dimensioned to engage with each other to inhibit the aligner displacement from its fully installed position. An aligner bulge over an unoccupied space feature next to the cutout may be applied in the orthodontic appliance to increase the flexibility of the aligner.
