Abstract:
Decals with dimensional offsets are disclosed. The decals may be part of a decal kit or may be applied to an article. The decals (100) include an overlay (102) having multiple dimensional spacers (104). When applied to an article, the decal overlay bonds to the article, securing the dimensional spacers between the overlay and the article creating dimensional offsets. The dimensional offsets can be positioned on an interior surface of the article, such as a garment, so that contact with a wearer's skin is minimized, reducing the perception of cling.
Abstract:
Abstract:
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for depicting interior details that are externally visible within to a substantially transparent three- dimensional object that is constructed by the selective attachment of a plurality of sheets one to another so as to form a stack of sheets where each sheet is cut along at least one contour line corresponding to the contour of the respective layer constituted by that particular sheet in the object
Abstract:
A method for the in-situ production of decorative patterns on a building comprises the following steps: coating a bottom coat (2) on the surface of the building; pressing and sticking a pattern mould (6) to the bottom coat (2) before initial set, then forming a compound body of the bottom coat (2) and the pattern mould (6); coating a top coat (1) on the compound body; demoulding and achieving the patterns.
Abstract:
A process for making a bright metal laminate comprises applying a highly reflective metal layer to a supporting baseweb comprising a flexible thermoplastic and thermoformable polyurethane film. The metal film comprises indium or an alloy of indium and is applied to a surface of the baseweb by vapor deposition techniques. An optically clear polymeric outer layer of preferably acrylic or polycarbonate resin is laminated in free-film form to the exposed surface of the metalized film under heat and pressure to bond the outer layer to the metal film. The surface of the polyurethane baseweb is sufficient to produce adhesion of the metal layer to the baseweb in the absence of an intervening bonding layer or surface treatment, while smoothing out the metal layer to a mirror-like finish that produces a reflective laminate having a DOI greater than 95. The laminate can be thermoformed to a three-dimensional shape while retaining its high level of distinctness-of-image.
Abstract:
Method for the ornamental treatment of objects, characterised in that a transparent support (1) is taken as a basis; in that a first layer of paint, a base layer (3) respectively, is applied on this support (1); in that parts (4) are removed from the base layer (3); and in that a second layer of paint (5) is applied on the thus obtained surface.
Abstract:
A form of print media product which provides a realistic three-dimensional effect. It includes a master sheet or card (10) having a background picture (12), along with a picture (16) of a person or an object printed or disposed on a substrate (18) and which substrate is directly adhered to the surface of the card to provide a substantially continuous profile edge around the picture and which edge preferably is substantially perpendicular to the surface of the background picture. This arrangement enables a shadow to exist along this profile edge and to give an enhanced three-dimensional effect. In the case of a trading card, the reverse side preferably has detailed biographical information, detailed life sports statistics, and a family picture or likeness. An alternative embodiment includes providing a profile picture of a person on a substrate and preferably with a pin on the reverse side to enable the same to be worn on clothing.
Abstract:
Provided is a method of manufacturing an embossing die (12, 14). The method comprises mounting a drum or a plate on a support (36), providing information on a shape of the embossing die, printing a multitude of photopolymer drops with inkjet print heads (30) forming a photopolymer layer upon the drum or the plate based on the provided information, and curing the printed photopolymer layer, e.g. with a UV light source (28). The method may be carried out inline in an embossing apparatus (28).
