The apparatus for curving oblong, in particular metallic, elements comprises a curvature assembly (3) comprising a contrast member (31 ) for curving said element (2) with a certain radius of curvature and a curvature detection assembly (10) arranged downstream of the curvature assembly (3). The curvature detection assembly (10) defines a curvature plane (10a) for receiving the element (2) during the feeding step through the curvature assembly (3).
Abstract:
A system for rod bending for use in robotic spinal surgery, enabling the correct bending of a fusion rod to match the shape required to accurately pass through the heads of the pedicle screws. The system uses data generated by information provided to the robot by the surgeon's preoperative plan, optionally augmented by feedback from the robot control system of deviations encountered intraoperatively. Such deviations could occur, for example, when the surgeon decides intraoperatively on a different trajectory or even to skip screws on one vertebra, in which case, the robot will be commanded to perform the alternative procedure, with commensurate instructions relayed to the control system of the rod-bending machine. The system is also able to thin down the rod at predetermined locations along its length, adapted to be at selected intervertebral locations, for maintaining limited flexibility between vertebrae, instead of fixating them.

An instrument and method for bending a surgical implant, such as a spinal rod, includes a lever pivotally connected to a handle through a movable linkage system. The ovable linkage system includes one or more bearing surfaces for applying a force to a first portion of the surgical implant while a rod seat connected to the handle holds an adjacent second portion of the surgical implant in a fixed position, thereby causing the surgical implant to bend between the first and second portion. The instrument can be easily operated using a single hand, is easy to control and requires a relatively small mount of force to bend a surgical implant. The instrument can include an automatic advancement means for advancing the surgical implant after bending to bend another portion of the surgical implant by a selected amount. The instrument can also be used for bending spinal rods having a non-circular cross-section in multiple planes.

Bei einem Verfahren zum Bestimmen des Rückfederwertes eines in einer Biegemaschine (R) mit zumindest einem Biegearm (3) gebogenen Werkstückes (2) insbesondere Rohres, Bleches, Stangenmaterials od. dgl., soll nach dem Biegen des Werkstückes (2) der zumindest eine Biegearm (3) entgegen der Biegerichtung (Y) , bis zur entspannungsfreien Lage des gebogenen Werkstückes (2) zurückbewegt werden, wobei hierdurch der Rückfederwert (a) gemessen, insbesondere ermittelt werden kann.

A plant (1, 100) for the bending/curvature of elements with substantially longitudinal development (ET), comprising an automated tube bending device (2), an electronic control unit (3) and a robotic arm (4) arranged downstream of the automated tube bending device (2) and configured to be moved near its first door (22). This robotic arm (4) has, at its movable end (41 ), an optical measuring system (6) configured to scan at least one portion of the longitudinal element (ET). The electronic control unit (3) is configured to compare a digital model (MD2) of the scanned portion with the digital model (MD1 ) of the bent longitudinal element (ETP) to be obtained, in order to check the conformity or the non-conformity between said models.

The body includes an exterior surface, a channel defined by an interior surface, and a wall of a select thickness separating the exterior surface and the interior surface. The body includes at least two alignment marks disposed on the exterior surface. A set of alignment marks of the at least two alignment marks are separated by a selected angle. The at least two alignment marks includes at least one line. The body is configured to be insertabie within a bending tool. The body is configured to plastically deform following an application of a force to the exterior surface of the body via the bending tool. Plastic deformation of the body generates one or more bends along the length of the body.

Bei einem Verfahren zur Herstellung von Formteilen aus einem langgestreckten Werkstück, insbesondere aus einem Draht oder Rohr, durch Umformen mittels einer Umformmaschine wird mindestens eine Kennlinie vorgegeben, die einen funktionalen Zusammenhang zwischen einem Soll-Geometrieparameter des Formteils und einer zur Erzielung des Soll-Geometrieparameters einzustellenden Zustellung eines den Geometrieparameter beeinflussenden Umformwerkzeugs repräsentiert. Bei dem Verfahren wird vor einer produktiven Herstellung von Formteilen mit vorgegebener Soll-Formteilgeometrie eine automatisierte Kennlinienermittlungsoperation zur Ermittlung einer Ist-Kennlinie durchgeführt. Die Zustellung des Umformwerkzeugs wird danach bei einer produktiven Herstellung von Formteilen auf Basis der automatisiertermittelten Ist-Kennlinie gesteuert.

L'invention concerne le contrôle et la fabrication de tubes. En particulier, elle permet de rendre les résultats de la mesure d'un tube placé dans un champ de sollicitation, indépendante du positionnement, de sa mise en position et de son maintien en position dans l'espace de mesure. Elle permet également de corriger le programme de commande d'une machine de cintrage pour réduire les écarts de fabrication en ne mesurant que les tronçons droits du tube.
