A cutter head for surfacing a flitch, the cutter head including a shaft, a blade non- rotatably mounted on the shaft, wherein the flitch is surfaced by rotating the blade, a bushing including a bore, wherein the shaft runs through the bore, wherein a flange is eccentrically formed about the bore, a guide mounted on the flange of the bushing, wherein the flange axially offsets the guide with respect to the shaft, wherein the guide is arranged to support the cutter head against the flitch while the cutter head is surfacing the flitch, and wherein a radial distance between a tip of the blade and the guide determines a cutting depth of the cutter head, and wherein due to the guide being mounted on the eccentrically formed flange, the radial offset is determined based on a rotational orientation of the bushing about the shaft.

A wood working machine is described that includes a mounting plate assembly for supporting a cutting tool, the mounting plate assembly including a base plate, first and second spaced apart intermediate plates on the base plate, and first and second guide plate elements pivotally supported on respective first and second intermediate plates, and a cutting tool support plate slidably disposed between the first and second guide plate elements, the guide plate elements including means defined therein for positioning each of the guide plate elements at selected angular intervals with respect to the respective first and second intermediate plates, whereby the cutting tool support plate is slidably movable on the base plate between the guide plate elements at a prescribed angle. The mounting plate assembly may include laser sources providing crossed laser beams for accurately positioning the tool bit of the cutting tool near a work piece, and light sources for illuminating the tool bit. A digital sensor may be included for precise positioning of the work piece held beneath the base plate on a movable carrier.

In a die board (10) for cutting and/or creasing sheet-type work material, a base (12) is provided that includes a first upper surface (13) and a second lower surface (14). At least one slot (16) extends along the first upper surface and includes a first slot section (18) extending from said first upper surface at least part-way through the die board base. The at least one slot also includes a second slot section (20) extending from said second lower surface at least part-way through the die board base. The first and second slot sections each have a width with at least one of the slot section widths being adapted to grip and retain at least one die-board rule (22).

Apparatus (1) for producing an underfloor fibreboard turn element (10) for underfloor heating having a plurality of turn notches or grooves for floor heating loops. Fibreboards to be processed (2a) in the apparatus are fed from a first reservoir (100a). A cutter device (200) comprising a main frame (210) supporting a cutter means (221) on an elongated cutter frame (221) holds a plurality of rotatable cutter wheels (223) with axes of rotation oriented in parallel. Aach cutter wheel has a plurality cutters (225) arranged on a circumference thereof with cutting edges oriented axially away from the wheel,to cut in a common plane oriented perpendicular to said axes of rotation. A plane base (250) for supporting and positioning a fibreboard with a first surface thereof in a surface plane being in parallel with the common plane of the cutters,and has an opening (251) for the cutter wheels. A drive means (226) rotates the cutter wheels. A moving means (240) moves the cutter means in a direction towards and away from the plane, so the cutter wheels to pass through the opening and past the surface plane. A positioning device (260) positions and secures the fibreboard against the plane base, and such that the cutter wheels on passing through the opening cut respective circular grooves or notches in predetermined parts of the first surface of the fibreboard. A storage device (100b) stores fibreboards processed (2b) in the cutter device.

There is disclosed an apparatus that works a work piece that employs routers (30, 31) disposed on opposite upper and lower sides of a table (22). The routers operate on opposite sides of a work piece contemporaneously. The resultant work piece may be worked so as to be uniform and identical with previously and successively worked work pieces.
