Abstract: The present invention relates to a part of a luggage system, in particular a shell (510, 520) of a hard-shell case or trolley (500), comprising a natural fiber material. The present invention further relates to a method for the manufacture and a method for the repair of such a part. A part (21, 31, 400)of a luggage system is provided which comprises a fiber-reinforced material (100a, 100b, 100c), wherein the fiber- reinforced material comprises a natural fiber material (110a, 110b, 110c) and a matrix material (130a, 130b, 130c). The natural fiber material comprises at least one set of unidirectional fibers (120a, 120b-121b, 120c-123c) which are embedded in and/or impregnated with the matrix material.
