A method (200) for manufacturing a biodegradable writing device is disclosed. The method includes cleaning a recycled paper collected from an external source (210); cutting the recycled paper collected into a predefined size (220); rolling a cut recycled paper in form of a barrel using a barrelling machine (230); pasting a rolled 5 recycled paper of the barrel by applying an adhesive material using a gumming machine (240); coating an internal surface of the barrel with a water repellent material (250); trimming at least one end of the barrel using a bend grinder for integrating an adaptor (260); coupling a nozzle with the adaptor integrated at the at least one end of the barrel (270); filling ink into the barrel for enabling flow of the ink through the 10 nozzle (280); fabricating a cap using a cap barrelling machine to protect the nozzle (290); assembling the barrel, the adaptor, the nozzle and the cap to manufacture the biodegradable writing device for facilitating writing (300).

The adhesiveness of the bonding agent can be altered by applying a voltage or a voltage and a current. Further, the system comprises a writing surface comprising a first electrode and a second electrode or a writing surface comprising a first electrode and an erasing tool comprising a second electrode.

The water-based ink composition may be prepared from solid ink compositions which may be diluted with water. The invention comprises a substance suitable for external marking of a patient's skin during a radiographic procedure, such as angiography and endovascular procedures. The substance comprises a volume of radiopaque marking substance suitable for creating a rapidly stable and precise image on a radiographic medical device when said material is placed externally on a patient and imaged by the radiographic medical device. The substance comprises a volume of forming material for combination with the radiopaque material. An associated dispenser is also disclosed.

Vorgestellt wird ein Schreibgerät, dessen Schreibgerätehülse zur Aufnahme eines auswechselbaren Schreibeinsatzes ausgebildet ist. Der Schreibeinsatz (2) ist in der Schreibgerätehülse (1) mittels einer Schublade (4) gehalten, die zum Wechseln des Schreibeinsatzes (2) und/oder zur Aktivierung des Schreibgerätes für das Schreiben gegenüber der Schreibgerätehülse (1) durch eine ausschließlich in axialer Richtung (8) erfolgende Bewegung verschieblich ist. Für einen Wechsel des Schreibeinsatzes (2) ist die Schublade (4) über ein axiales Ende der Schreibgerätehülse (1) aus dieser herausbewegbar. Eine Aktivierung des Schreibgerätes zum Schreiben erfolgt, indem durch eine axiale Verschiebung der Schublade (4) in eine dafür innerhalb der Schreibgerätehülse (1) vorgesehene Position ein bereits beim Einlegen des Schreibeinsatzes (2) mit ihm dauerhaft verbundenes, aus der Schreibgerätehülse (1) herausragendes Schreibelement (3), wie beispielsweise eine Schreibspitze von der Schublade (4) freigegeben wird.

A writing implement (1), also providing a paperweight function, which essentially consists of a pen comprising a rigid cylindrical body (2), having an axial bore (21), extending over a length of the rigid cylindrical body (2), starting from one of its ends, an ink refill with a corresponding tip (6) being inserted inside the bore, wherein the rigid cylindrical body (2) is formed of a segment of iron-based metal bar, in particular a ridged iron bar, of the type used for reinforced concrete; the writing implement may also comprise a cap (3), formed of a segment of iron-based metal bar, having an axial cavity (9) at one end (8), for receiving the tapered portion (5) of the rigid cylindrical body (2), which may be retained by magnetic elements, which are positioned inside said cavity (9); the writing implement may be enclosed inside a rigid concrete case (13, 14), or may be inserted into a blind hole (19) in a small concrete block (17), which functions as a penholder and paperweight.
