Abstract:
A retractable instrument in accordance with the disclosure advantageously has a simple construction and fewer pieces or sub -assemblies than known retractable instruments. The retractable instrument (10) includes a barrel (12) that encloses a tool holder. The tool holder has an extension, and a tool extending from the distal end of the extension. A valve (40) selectively covers the tool to protect the tool from environmental conditions. A biasing element (36) is disposed between the valve and the tool holder, the biasing element biases the valve away from the tool holder. A movable closure assembly (60) retains the valve on the extension and selectively allows the lid (42) to open and close. The closure assembly includes a closure ring (62) and a retention ring (64) connected by one or more closure arms (66). The retention ring is disposed on the tool holder and the retention ring is prevented from sliding off of the tool holder by a retention stop (32).
Abstract:
Disclosed is capless retractable marking pen having excellent sealing capability and simple structure. The capless retractable marking pen comprises a hollow sealing member 20 for receiving a writing tip 5 when the pen is in nonuse, and an opening and closing member 30 for opening and closing an opening 24 provided at a front end of the sealing member. The opening and closing member has a cover part 31 pivotably fixed at a first end thereof to an lower edge portion of a front opening 24 of the sealing member 20, an extending part 32 extended from a second end of the cover part 31, and fixed at a front end portion thereof to the ink cartridge, and a hole 34 provided at the extending part 32 so that the writing tip 5 can be come out and retracted through the hole 34.
Abstract:
Writing nib assemblies and associated writing instruments are provided herein. Writing instruments are provided including a barrel having a barrel first end and an oppositely disposed barrel second end, an ink reservoir disposed within the barrel and containing an ink composition, a feeder rod disposed within the barrel and in fluid communication with the ink reservoir, a writing nib assembly disposed at least partially within the barrel and in fluid communication with the feeder rod, and a writing nib adapter disposed at least partially within the barrel and at least partially surrounding the writing nib assembly, wherein the writing nib adapter comprises at least one slot extending from an outer surface of the writing nib adapter to the inner surface of the writing nib adapter the slot being configured to allow for the passage of gas therethrough.
Abstract:
A cap assembly (200) for a drug delivery device is presented. The cap assembly (200) comprises a fixing element (134) with a connection feature (154), an outer part (130) with an opening (164), and an inner part (131) being located inside of the outer part (130), the inner part (131) further comprising a corresponding connection feature (170), wherein a section of the fixing element (134) extends through the opening (164) of the outer part (130), such that the fixing element (134) is connected to the inner part (131) by an interaction of the connection feature (154) and the corresponding connection feature (170).
Abstract:
A cap (120) for a drug delivery device (1) having a distal end (121) and a proximal end (122); the cap (120) having an opening at the proximal end and further comprising an outer cap element (130) and an inner cap element (131) being located inside the outer cap element (130), the inner cap element (131) comprising a deformable region (151) and a cap snap means (149); wherein the deformable region (151) of the inner cap element (131) is deformable into a gap (143) between the inner cap element (131) and the outer cap element (130).
