Abstract: The present invention relates to a polymer composition comprising at least the following components: (A) 30.0 to 80.0 wt.-% based on the overall weight of the polymer composition of a single-site catalyst produced C2C3 heterophasic copolymer (HECO); whereby said copolymer has a melting point in the range of 150 to 162°C determined by differential scanning calorimetry according to ISO 11357-3; a MFR2 (230°C, 2.16 kg) determined according to ISO 1133 in the range of 5.0 to 40.0 g/10 min; a total C2-content in the range of 1 to 10 wt.-% based on the overall weight of component (A); and a soluble fraction (SF) based on the total weigh of component (A) in the range of 10 to 50 wt.-% determined according to CRYSTEX QC, Polymer Char as described in the description; 20.0 to 70.0 wt.- % based on the overall weight of the polymer composition of a propylene homopolymer; whereby said propylene homopolymer has a MFR2 (190°C, 2.16 kg) determined according to ISO 1133 in the range of 1.0 to 20.0 g/10 min; and a F30 melt strength determined according to ISO 16790 of at least 10 cN; with the proviso that the weight proportions of components A) and B) add up to 100 wt.-%. Furthermore, the invention relates to a film comprising the polymer composition according to the invention and to coated articles comprising at least one layer comprising said polymer composition.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a polymer composition comprising: (a) a propylene- based polymer having a melt mass-flow rate of ≥ 5.0 and ≤ 90.0 g/10 min, preferably ≥ 10.0 and ≤ 50.0 g/10 min, as determined in accordance with ASTM D1238 (2013) at 230°C under a load of 2.16 kg; and (b) ≥ 5.0 and ≤ 30.0 wt%, with regard to the total weight of the polymer composition, of an ethylene-based polymer having: • a melt mass-flow rate of ≥ 3.0 and ≤ 30.0 g/10 min, as determined in accordance with ASTM D1238 (2013) at 190°C under a load of 2.16 kg; • a density of ≥ 840 and ≤ 870 kg/m3, as determined in accordance with ASTM D792 (2008); and • a content of ≥ 25.0 and ≤ 50.0 wt% of moieties derived from 1-octene, with regard to the total weight of the ethylene- based polymer. Such polymer composition demonstrates improved low temperature impact strength, determined as Izod impact strength at -40 °C and/or at -30°C, as well as desirable toughness, determined as tensile modulus, whilst having good flowability in injection moulding and thereby allowing complex, thin-walled objects to be shaped.

In another embodiment, a propylene polymer composition includes: isotactic polypropylene; 5 wt% or greater of atactic polypropylene, based on the weight of the composition; and an ethylene- propylene-diene terpolymer. The present disclosure further provides methods for forming propylene polymer compositions.

Polymeric materials having polymer crystals provide favorable properties, such as enhanced durability and rigidity. This disclosure also provides polymeric materials comprising a crystalline phase comprising at least one polymer crystal, as well as an amorphous phase comprising at least one amorphous polymer. The crystalline phase can confer rigidity to the polymeric material, while the amorphous phase can confer elasticity and flexibility.
