Cleaning processing equipment may include generating a function characterizing a relationship between fouling formation in the processing equipment and operation of the processing equipment. A cleaning recipe may be selected based on properties of fouling material formed in the processing equipment during operation of the processing equipment. Operating costs associated with cleaning schedules may be determined based on the first function and the cleaning recipe and one of the cleaning schedules may be selected based on the respective determined operating costs. A cleaning process on the processing equipment may be executed according to the selected cleaning schedule using the selected cleaning recipe.
Abstract:
A mobile cleaning unit (50) is connected to a fouled pipe (60) to be cleaned. A pump (65) circulates cleaning solution from a reservoir (70) through an injection valve (80) in the mobile cleaning unit (50). The solution is regulated by diverter valves (85a, 85b) to an upstream valve (90), through the pipe (60), out a downstream valve (100), and through a return valve (110) to the reservoir (70). Treatment is monitored at either an upstream (115) or a downstream isolation valve (118). Spent solution is recirculated until it is environmentally safe for discharge out a drain valve (120). The process minimizes both the volume of treated spent solution and the treatment time.

The present invention provides a method to inhibit microbes located within a pipeline comprising: applying a photosensitizer composition to a predetermined interior surface area of the pipeline where microbes are located; and applying light to the area at a wavelength that is absorbed by the photosensitizer composition so as to inhibit or eliminate the microbes; wherein the light is applied by a photodynamic disinfection device adapted to provide light to the area. The present invention also provided a photodynamic disinfection device comprising a pipeline inspection gauge (pig) adapted to include a circumferential high energy light source and an energy source wherein the light source is in communication with and powered by the energy source via communication means.

The invention relates to a method for keeping vacuum piping, particularly the vacuum piping (2, 3, 4) of the waste systems of ships and similar, clean, or for assisting it. The device according to the invention is used to feed acid and bacteria are fed to the end of each vacuum pipe run (3). The feeding takes place mainly automatically by means of controllable hose pumps (102), provided a predefined vacuum prevails in the vacuum pipe run (3).
Abstract:
A process for chemical cleaning and corrosion inhibition of pipework, typically in closed loop systems, that avoids or significantly minimises the requirement for wastewater discharge where the system is first acidified using a mixture of cleaning agents capable of dissolving metal oxides. The method then precipitates any dissolved contaminants and separates the precipitate from the carrying fluid. Further elements of a combined corrosion inhibitor package are then added to any cleaning agent ions that remain in solution to develop a fully functional corrosion inhibition package to protect the metals of the system.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Herstellen eines innendruckbeaufschlagten Bauteils (1) aus einem Stahlmaterial, das vor einem Galvanisiervorgang gebeizt wird. Um die Festigkeit des innendruckbeaufschlagten Bauteils (1) aus dem Stahlmaterial zu verbessern, wird das Stahlmaterial mit einem chemischen Element modifiziert, um die Größe von beim Beizen des Stahlmaterials entstehenden Beiznarben zu reduzieren.
