    Abstract: The present invention relates to a cold steam iron comprising an iron for ironing fabrics; a steamer (1) comprising a main body (2), a water chamber (4) provided in the main body (2) for storing water therein, a cold steam chamber (5) connected to the water chamber (4), having a base and at least one side wall, at least one piezoelectric member (7) provided in the cold steam chamber (5) for generating cold steam, a steam outlet (11) for connecting to the iron by means of a hose, a fan (10) for directing the steam generated by the at least one piezoelectric member (7) to the steam outlet (11), and a steam sensor (12) to detect the rate of the steam generated by means of the piezoelectric members (7); and a control unit (9) adapted to control operation of the at least one piezoelectric member (7) so as to keep the steam rate in the steam chamber (5) below a predetermined steam saturation rate, according to the data detected by the steam sensor (12).
