Abstract:
A method of recycling bonded fibrous materials, the method includes the steps of: providing pieces of bonded fibrous materials, the pieces having sizes that are adapted for suspension in a liquid; suspending the discrete pieces of bonded fibrous materials in a liquid; applying mechanical work to the liquid suspension of discrete pieces to generate hydraulic pressure and mechanical shear stress conditions sufficient to hydraulically fragment the bonded fibrous materials into fibers and fiber-like components; and separating substantially individual fibers and fiber-like components from the liquid. The method is used to produce recycled synthetic fibers and fiber-like materials that have at least one thread element composed of synthetic material having at least one irregular distorsion generated by hydraulic fracture of the thread element to separate it from a bonded fibrous material while the bonded fibrous material is suspended in a liquid.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for production of a paper product comprising the following step: a) providing a chemical pulp b) adding lignosulfonate to the chemical pulp such that a chemical pulp comprising lignosulfonate is obtained c) beating the chemical pulp comprising lignosulfonate obtained in step b) such that a beated chemical pulp is obtained, and d) producing a paper product from the beated chemical pulp obtained in step c) The aim of the invention is to increase the efficiency of a beating of a chemical pulp.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process of recycling the cotton fabrics. More particularly, the present invention provides a process, which provides a new way of manufacturing yarns i.e. yarns made of recycled cotton paper. The process of present invention re-uses waste garments & rags to manufacture fresh fabric. The rags are collected and recycled in an inventive process so as to make recycled cotton products having quality and appearance as per the today's market standards. The process of present invention is environment friendly in nature. The process is novel, inventive and at the same time not very complex.
Abstract:
The invention relates to methods and an arrangement for treating a fluid mass or stock (32), especially couch stock or the like in paper making, where stock material (30) is fed to a vessel (10) having a mixing arrangement comprising rotatably arranged processing means (20). At least two processing means are brought to rotate mutually adjacent in opposite directions and essentially horizontally. The stock (32) at the upper surface of said means (20) is conveyed towards a wall portion (11) of said vessel (10), whereby spirals (24, 24') arranged in an inclined manner at a core (22) of said processing means bring said stock (32) into channels (34, 35) defined by said core (22), by said spirals (24, 24') and by said wall portion (11) of said vessel (10), and further towards a constriction formed by the respective spiral elements (24, 24') running in an intermeshed manner, while a part of said stock is forced in a direction away from a discharge (12) of said vessel (10).
Abstract:
A method for making fire retardant material including fire retardant cellulosic insulation. The method includes an arrangement for adding fibers of one or more feedstocks and a fire retardancy chemical compound to a mixer prior to fiber drying. The fibers are separated prior to or during mixing with the fire retardancy chemical compound. The feedstock may include old newsprint (ONP), old corrugated containers (OCC), and/or other cellulose-based materials. The method further includes retaining the separated fibers feedstock and the chemical compound together for enough time to ensure adherence and impregnation of enough of the chemical to and in the fibers after the drying process. Separated fibers may be partitioned/classified prior to and/or after treatment.
Abstract:
The present invention provides for the optimisation of conditions for treating pulp with a catalyst and hydrogen peroxide to produce a Freeness value (SR) in a web produced from the treated pulp such that the energy required in mechanical agitation of the pulp is reduced.
Abstract:
A discharge grate assembly for at least partially guiding slurry from a mill shell chamber in a rotating mill shell to a discharge trunnion thereof via a pulp lifter chamber. The discharge grate assembly includes a body having a number of apertures for permitting the slurry to flow from the mill shell chamber into the pulp lifter chamber. The discharge grate assembly also includes a number of louvers movable between a closed position, in which the apertures in the body are at least partially covered by the louvers, and an open position, in which the apertures are at least partially unobstructed by the louvers.
