A method for preparing a track bed and a track bed prepared thereby. The method comprises the steps of: i) stacking ballasts to form a ballast substrate and tamping the ballast substrate and ii) applying a mixed system of an aqueous polychloroprene dispersion and a coagulate agent onto the ballast substrate and curing the mixed system together with the ballasts.

A method is provided of stabilizing roadbed material containing at least 2% by weight clay comprising adding to the roadbed material potassium formate in an amount effective to enhance stability thereof. A water-soluble polymer is preferably added to the roadbed material, which polymer is preferably a cationic polymer.

In many cases, it is possible that the high water to soil aggregates ratio in swamps and coastal lands, estuaries and sandy beaches in the subsoil layers requiring excavation and construction of parking lots and underground floors causes the project to be discarded or force employers to transport and replace it with suitable materials, which is very costly and time-consuming. Injection of this product causes the conversion of the same loose and non-loadable materials into durable and buildable substrates. The method of operation is that for injection into the soil and its consolidation, the first component is mixed with water and then applied by the injection device with the second component at the same time, but for mixing in soil or construction materials, they are all mixed together in one step. For cement injections, the first component is injected directly into the cement slurry and the second component.

Un método para estabilizar un terreno, como por ejemplo, esterilizar una superficie de terreno, que comprende las etapas de depositar una capa de material inerte sobre la superficie del terreno a tratar; aplicar una sustancia estabilizadora fluida sobre la capa de material inerte; y remover la superficie de terreno que incluye la capa de material inerte y la sustancia estabilizadora fluida y levantarla respecto del nivel del suelo donde se aplica de forma simultánea una etapa adicional de aplicar la sustancia estabilizadora fluida, garantizando así una capa de tierra o similar con la sustancia estabilizadora fluida con una profundidad adecuada. Este método se lleva a cabo mediante un conjunto rodante motorizado provisto de un dispositivo estabilizador.

An unsealed or a sealed base for a road, pathway, pavement, floor or the like, the base compositions comprising lignin or lignosulphonate containing materials. The lignin materials act as binders, the composition also includes at least one additive selected from the group consisting of cement, lime, flyash, calcium sulphate and slag. The base composition may also include soil. The invention is also for mixing the components and compaction (preferably with an optimum water content) to form the base.

The invention is a dust control substances-solution (DCSS). The invention discloses the substances the DCSS is made of, how they are to be mixed and how the DCSS is to be applied. The DCSS is based on treated soft wood particles and substances that form a layer oved dust covered surfaces. The layer "traps" water that is applied to the surface, thus, maintaining the dust in aggregates and prevents its raising to the air.

A method of paving a gravel and/or dirt roadway (10) is provided. This method includes evaluating the roadway to determine if it is an appropriate candidate for emulsion stabilization, rotating a milling head (20) down a roadway to break up gravel and dirt base layer (14), injecting an asphalt emulsion into the broken up gravel and dirt (24), and mixing the emulsion with the gravel and dirt (24) so as to form an emulsion stabilized layer (18). The emulsion stabilized layer (18) is then spread and compacted to create a paved roadway. Following this, a wearing surface may be applied to the emulsion stabilized layer (18).

The present invention relates to a system for constructing a pavement on a soil, said system comprising a geosynthetic material and a chemical composition, said chemical composition comprising: a) one or more components selected from the group consisting of sodium chloride, potassium chloride, magnesium chloride, calcium chloride, strontium chloride, barium chloride and ammonium chloride, and b) aluminum chloride, and; c) one or more components selected from the group consisting of silica, zeolite and apatite. The invention moreover relates to a pavement construction comprising at least a soil (1), a geosynthetic material (5) applied on the soil (1), a base layer (6) applied on the geosynthetic material (5), and a top layer (9, 11, 12) comprising a soil composition, a cement, and a chemical composition, as well as to a method of constructing such a pavement.
