Abstract:
The invention relates to a chisel holder for a ground processing machine, in particular a road miller, comprising a supporting member to which a plug-in attachment is indirectly or directly connected at a plug-in attachment end. The plug-in attachment has at least one convex contact surface and a pressure surface. In order to deflect the processing forces in such a chisel holder in an optimized manner with respect to the load conditions, the plug-in attachment has two convex contact surfaces that are located at a distance from each other.
Abstract:
A chisel holder comprises a body zone (12) having a chisel receiving opening (18) that is open at least in the direction of a chisel insertion end (14) of the body zone (12), and also comprises a fastening shaft (26) which extends from a supporting end (20) of the body zone (12) and has a longitudinal shaft axis. A fastening member-affecting zone is provided on a first side of the fastening shaft (26), and a supporting zone (78) that has supporting surface regions (88, 90) which are inclined relative to each other and adjoin each other in a transition zone (92) extending in the direction of the longitudinal shaft axis is provided on a second side of the fastening shaft (26), said second side lying opposite the first side relative to the longitudinal shaft axis. Said chisel holder is characterized in that the transition zone (92) is designed like a cavity, or/and at least some sections of at least one supporting surface region (88, 90) project radially outward from a basic outer peripheral surface (94) of the fastening shaft (26) in relation to the longitudinal shaft axis.

Said chisel holder is characterized in that the body zone (12) has a second supporting surface region (24) at its supporting end (20), said second surface region (24) extending at an angle from the first supporting surface region (22), or/and the first supporting surface region (22) comprises a first supporting surface (28) and a second supporting surface (30) extending at an angle from the first supporting surface (28).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a milling drum for mobile work machines, in particular for road and path construction, comprising a plurality of tool retainers comprising boxes attached to the round roller surface, in each of which boxes one exchangeable retainer having a substantially cylindrical receptacle for the round shank of a tool is inserted, wherein the boxes and the exchangeable retainers are steel castings and are kept in engagement by a threaded bolt, the center planes M of the boxes (2) and of the inserted exchangeable retainers (3) are arranged perpendicularly to the roller axis, and the exchangeable retainers (3) are selected from exchangeable retainer groups that are differentiated by the angle a between the axis X of the receptacle and the center plane M of the exchangeable retainers (3) of the exchangeable retainer groups.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a chisel arrangement for the cutting chisels of a tool holder mounted in a rotating manner, such as a cutter head or cutting rollers, in which the chisel tips are inclined in a leading manner in the direction of rotation and the direction of circumference of the tool holder and the chisel can be tilted by overcoming a spring force. The tilt axis of the chisel (1) is positioned on the tool holder (7) in the direction of the circumference and rotation of the chisel (1) in front of the projection of the chisel tip towards the axis of rotation (9) of the tool holder (7). In the contact position, the chisel (1) is supported against a spring (3) in a tiltable manner.
Abstract:
An excavation cutting tool holder retention system. The cutting tool holder retention system includes a cutting tool holder having a holder engagement surface and a support block having a tool holder bore into which the cutting tool holder is inserted. A pin having a pin engagement surface is movably mounted to the support block such that the pin engagement surface may be moved to engage the holder engagement surface. At least one of the holder and pin engagement surfaces defines an inclined surface such that when the pin engagement surface is moved to engage the holder engagement surface, the shank portion of the cutting tool holder will be drawn into the tool holder bore. In the preferred embodiment, at least one of the shank portion of the cutting tool holder and tool holder bore is tapered such that the shank portion of the cutting tool holder will be drawn and wedged into the tool holder bore of the support block when the pin engagement surface is moved to engage the holder engagement surface.
Abstract:
A fixed cutter rock bit includes a cutting head having a plurality of spiral blades and bosses into which extend cutter insert mounting holes. Cutter inserts with cutting tips and barrels protrude outward from the mounting holes at an angle to the general direction of rotation of the cutting head. Each cutter insert has a cutting tip, a barrel, a dowel recess, an end flange, and a cutter axis extending from the cutting tip through an end flange. Dowel pin holes extend into the blades transverse to the cutter mounting holes, the dowel pin holes adapted to receive and position dowel pins transverse to the cutter inserts such that the cutter inserts are free to rotate about their respective cutter insert axes.
Abstract:
A cutting assembly is configured to be coupled to a drum that is rotatable about an axis. The cutting assembly includes a block having a leading surface and an inner surface. The inner surface forms a block bore extending along an axis through the leading surface and at least partially through the block. The cutting assembly also includes a sleeve having a sleeve shank with an outer surface, a flange, and a sleeve bore extending through the flange and at least partially through the sleeve shank. During installation of the sleeve to the block, an interface between the outer surface of the sleeve shank and the inner surface of the block bore transitions from an interference fit to a clearance fit.
Abstract:
An adapter board (12000) for use with a blade assembly (13000) includes a lower tool bit attachment portion (12002), terminating in a lower adapter board free end (12004), the lower adapter board free end (12004) defining a bottom surface (12006) defining at least one shank receiving bore (12008) and at least one pry slot (12010). The at least one pry slot (12010) is disposed adjacent the at least one shank receiving bore (12008).
