    摘要: A gyroscopic air handler provides a new powerful compact and efficient means to create airflow. At the core of the invention is a hubless magnetic chamber that rotates under its own power when acted upon by a composite electromagnetic duct. Composite field coils constructed from copper wire sheathed in a flexible iron sleeve are integrated into layers of Kevlar cloth and laid up with adhesive to create the desired shape as well as maintain the proper number of coils and spacing. Thrust bearings locate the hubless magnetic chamber within the duct. The invention can be retrofitted into the place of existing air handlers or purpose engineered for new applications. Gyroscopic inertia created by the magnetic chamber helps to dampen vibration as well as reduce the effects of unstable air conditions that can affect efficiency.

    摘要: A combined well pump and motor (11) includes a housing (13) having an axis (15), an upstream end and a downstream end. Diffusers (35) are mounted for non-rotation in the housing, each of the diffusers having diffuser passages (41). An impeller (47) is mounted between each of the diffusers for rotation relative to the diffusers. Each of the impellers has impeller vanes (49) defining impeller passages (55). The impeller has an exterior outer wall (51) extending circumferentially around the impeller vanes, closing outer sides of each of the impeller passages. An array of magnets (57) is mounted to each of the impellers. The magnets are spaced circumferentially apart from each other around the axis at a different radial distance from the axis than the impeller vanes. A stator (17) is mounted in the housing. The stator has windings (27) for interacting with the magnets to impart rotation to the impellers.

    摘要: A diffuser (1) for a multiphase fluid pump is disclosed, the diffuser comprising a central hub (8) coaxially aligned with a surrounding shroud (6). The hub and shroud forms together an annular passage (10) for fluid flow (F) through the diffuser. A set of diffusor blades (7) are arranged angularly spaced about the hub, the blades connecting the hub and the shroud while projecting a pressure side (16) towards the flow (F). The diffusor blades (7) are saddle- shaped such that in any radial plane (IV-IV; V-V) intersecting a diffusor blade, the diffusor blade projects a convexly curved pressure side (16) towards the flow, whereas in any tangential plane (III-III) intersecting the diffuser blade the diffusor blade projects a concavely curved pressure side ( 16) towards the flow.
