Abstract: The invention relates to a propulsion means for aircraft or boats, consisting of a propeller with a rotor (1, 3, 4, 6, 15, 30, 40, 49), through which a medium flows radially or semiaxially. The radius of the outflow median (M2) of the propeller in relation to that of the inflow median (M1) is increased such that loss of momentum is reduced. An envelope (6) surrounds the blading in order to deflect the radial or semiaxial flow in the propeller in the axial direction, thereby generating additional thrust in the direction of travel.

Abstract: A fire fighting pump and operation thereof and a fire fighting system and a fire engine are disclosed. The pump includes a housing, a motor mounted inside the housing and two or more stages of series-connected impeller assemblies. A water inlet is provided on the housing between the motor and the impeller assemblies. The impeller assemblies are mounted on the impeller shaft coaxially and in series with each other. The impeller shaft is fixed on the motor shaft or is coaxial with the latter. The impeller assembly includes a thruster, an impeller, an end cover and a retaining ring on the periphery of the thruster and the impeller, and those four elements are installed in turn. Several first blades are provided in the thruster and several second blades which are correspond with the first blades in amount and location are provided in the impeller. The thruster is fixed on the impeller shaft, the impeller is pivotally coupled to the impeller shaft, and the end cover is passed through by the impeller shaft. When the pump is working, the operation thereof includes the impeller shaft rotating together with the motor shaft, the impeller shaft driving the thruster fixed thereon, and the impeller, the end cover and the retaining ring running irregularly. The lift and water feeding distanceof the pump are increased.
