Abstract: A load sensing control system for controlling a hydraulic system comprises at least one pressure sensor (101-106) configured to measure pressure of at least one hydraulic cylinder (111-113) of the hydraulic system, a torque controlled electric drive (107) configured to drive a hydraulic pump (114) of the hydraulic system, and a controller (108) configured to produce a torque reference for the torque controlled electric drive based on a sum of a predetermined pressure margin and the measured pressure. As the torque of the electric drive can be changed rapidly, the pressure margin can be small and thus a need for pressure reduction carried out with valves of the hydraulic system is reduced and thereby throttling losses in the valves are reduced, too.

Abstract: An example valve includes a first port fluidly coupled to a source of fluid, a second port fluidly coupled to an actuator, a third port fluidly coupled to a reservoir, and a fourth port configured to export a load-sense (LS) fluid signal. The valve can operate in: a neutral state, wherein fluid is allowed to flow from the second port to the third port, while the first port and the fourth port are blocked; a first actuated state, wherein fluid flow is throttled from the second port to the third port, while the first port and the fourth port remain blocked; or a second actuated state, wherein fluid flow from the second port to the third port is blocked, while fluid flow is allowed from the first port to the second port and from the second port to the fourth port.

Abstract: A method for preventing prime mover stall for a work machine including a hydraulic system having a plurality of control valves served by a hydraulic pump. The method comprises the steps of determining, at a controller, an actual required flow rate value for the plurality control valves; determining, at the controller, a total maximum flow rate to the plurality of control valves that will enable the prime mover to operate without stalling; and operating the plurality of control valves, with the controller, such that the combined total flow of the plurality control valves is at or below the total maximum flow rate such that the pump operates at a condition below which prime mover stall will occur.

Abstract: Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine mobile Arbeitsmaschine, insbesondere Radlader, mit einem Hydraulikkreislauf und mit einer Pumpe (P) zur Förderung eines Hydraulikmediums durch den Hydraulikkreislauf sowie mit zumindest einem Steuerblock (CB) mit einer Zulaufsteuerkante (ZK) und einer Ablaufsteuerkante (AK) zur Steuerung des Flusses des Hydraulikmediums, wobei die Arbeitsmaschine ein Arbeitswerkzeug und einen Zylinder zur Betätigung des Arbeitswerkzeugs aufweist und wobei der Zylinder einen Ablauf (A) und einen Zulauf (B) für das Hydraulikmedium aufweist, wobei der Ablauf mit der Ablaufsteuerkante und der Zulauf mit der Zulaufsteuerkante in Fluidverbindung stehen, wobei die Zulaufsteuerkante keine oder weniger Feinsteuerkerben als die Ablaufsteuerkante aufweist, die mit einer oder mehreren Feinsteuerkerben ausgestattet ist, so dass bei einer ziehenden Last am Arbeitswerkzeug die Ablaufsteuerkante die Ablaufmenge durch den Ablauf des Zylinders drosselt.
